Earlier today, the Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, Josh D’Amaro, made a presentation at the IAAPA Expo about progress on many of Disney’s ongoing projects.
He shared updates on projects like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Space 220 Restaurant, and Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser in Walt Disney World. He also discussed several projects ongoing at Disneyland Paris. And we also got the chance to see several photos from inside Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, which are both still currently closed.
In a montage of several different projects, we got a short glimpse at construction progress for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disneyland! This attraction has already opened in Disney World and is set to open in Disneyland in 2023. It’s got a long way to go, but we’re excited nonetheless!
Also in the montage, we got a look at several fun details of Avengers Campus, coming to Disney California Adventure. This particular photo shows the ride vehicles for the new WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure attraction.
Based on the short video clip from inside the attraction, as well as the concept art, we’re already daydreaming about experiencing an amazing adventure!
We also got to see some footage of the Quinjet being flown in to land atop the Avengers Headquarters. This thing is MASSIVE!
Plus, we got a glimpse of the area as a whole! There’s still quite a bit of work left to do, but the land is coming together — we can’t wait for this expansion!
Based on what we’ve seen so far, this new land looks like it will be incredibly immersive — especially for Marvel fans.
And that wasn’t all! Towards the end of the video, D’Amaro treated us to a shot with Sleeping Beauty Castle in the background! We haven’t seen it in person for a while, so it’s exciting to catch a glimpse on video.
With so many new projects coming to Disneyland Resort, we’re looking forward to the next few years! Stay tuned to DFB for more construction updates, as well as news about Disneyland Resort’s reopening.
