October 1st is going to be one of the biggest days in Disney World history.

On that date this year, the resort will launch its 50th anniversary celebration, which will bring new nighttime shows to both EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. AND a brand new ride will open on that day at EPCOT’s France Pavilion — Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
If you love Disney snacks, then you’ll be happy to know that we’re in the middle of the biggest food festival of the year — the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival!
It’s Food and Wine Festival season once again!
The festival started in July and runs until November 20th, so there’s plenty of time to stop by! But with crowds for the holidays, a new ride opening, several more booths opening up on October 1st, oh…and that little 50th anniversary of Disney World thing happening soon 😂, when is the best time to visit? 50 years ago, the Most Magical Place on Earth definitely looked different than it does today. But some classic hotels, restaurants, and rides DID open back on October 1st, 1971 with Magic Kingdom. FastPass+ is no longer available, some restaurants have still not reopened, live entertainment has been altered, and Halloween and Christmas parties have turned into After Hours events. Another thing that went away when Disney reopened was Extra Magic Hours. For over a year now, there have been no Extra Magic Hours, but Disney did recently announce different versions of the perk like Extended Evening Hours. So, what exactly is the difference?
