Disney World’s 50th anniversary is quickly approaching!

There will be LOTS to celebrate, like transformations to all 4 park icons, the opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and new costumes for Mickey and Minnie. And if you’re looking to join the fun, Park Pass reservations have been refilled for a select group!
We’re experiencing a HOT summer in Disney World!
It’s gonna be a HOT summer!
And if you’ll be in the parks, you’ll want to prepare for crowds and pack plenty of sunscreen. But one of our top tips for staying safe in the summer is to make sure you stay hydrated. Disney offers FREE cups of water in the parks, and we’re here today with an updated guide on where to find ’em!
We’ve been seeing slow changes back to “normal” in Disney World.

Lately, park capacity has been increased, social distancing has been reduced, and the outdoor mask requirement has changed. We’ve also seen smaller shifts, like the removal of hand-washing stations and the return of self-serve fountain drinks. And now, we’ve noticed another change.
October is a BIG month for Disney World!

Not only is it the 50th anniversary, but a new restaurant and attraction are set to open on October 1st! Park Passes at Disney World have been hard to grab for that date recently, but more park passes have just been added for ALL 4 parks in October!
Character interactions have been pretty different in Disney World since it reopened last summer.

Although regular meet-and-greets are gone for the time being, we now have character cavalcades in each park, adorable distanced meet-and-greets, and different character dining experiences! And today, we saw a classic Disney character doing something different than usual — warning, it’s SUPER CUTE.
We have been obsessing a bit over Cruella ever since the film premiered on Disney+! (We could watch it over and over again).

Disney has been going ALL OUT to welcome the live-action version of the classic villain with merchandise, treats, and photo-ops around the parks! And while you’ve had the chance to dress up in clothes inspired by the fashionista, now your nuiMOs plushes can, too.

And while we love a pop of rainbow or some good ol’ red, white, and blue, today, we’re checking out a brand-new collection. Over the weekend, we spotted a gorgeous mint pair of ears — and now, MORE mint has debuted.
We get it, picking a restaurant to visit in Disney World is SO HARD. There are so many choices!! And as a first-timer, it can be suuuuper overwhelming.

Don’t worry, DFB to the rescue! We put out a poll on Facebook asking which Disney World restaurant first-timers should ALWAYS try on their first visit. You, our readers, all had SO many good recommendations (we love the passion in our fellow Disney-lovers!). We went through each response and narrowed down the spots with the most shout-outs, and put them all in one easy list!

Of course, we’re ready for it (save for maybe the Florida heat and humidity), and we’re looking forward to all the great summer foods we’ll be eating over the next few months. May saw some pretty interesting snacks, though, including a secret menu Watermelon Dole Whipception snack, A Donut Burger, and Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls! And we also saw some menu updates at Disney World restaurants, so we’re going to get to those right now!
