A fan-favorite location in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Rafiki’s Planet Watch, a land only accessible to guests by train.
Here, you can explore a variety of interactive activities and even get up close and personal with some animals! Rafiki’s Planet Watch is a great way to learn about and see the ways in which Disney cares for the animals that reside in the park as well as the conservation efforts made for the species as a whole. If you’re a fan of Rafiki’s Planet Watch or you’re hoping to go soon, we have some important news!
The Halloween season has arrived!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is taking place on select nights in Disney World AND tickets are already starting to sell out. And if you’re wondering what a dessert party at this popular Halloween event includes, we’ve got details on that too!
When you travel around Disney World, do you just rely on Disney World transportation, or do you use rideshare services?
We know that Disney bus, Monorail, Skyliner, and boat transportation IS convenient, but sometimes you don’t have as much time to wait for that free transportation and need to get somewhere a little faster (or somewhere Disney transportation can’t get you to easily). But if you’re heading to EPCOT via rideshare anytime soon, we’ve got an update to share with you.
There’s no such thing as a PERFECT mode of Disney World transportation, though some of Disney’s newer solutions come pretty close! For example, ever since the Skyliner opened, it’s been a POPULAR alternative to taking the bus to EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. (And it’s way faster, too!)
That said, it’s still not a perfect system, so we’ve rounded up some of the downsides to taking the Skyliner.Â
We KNOW it’s still July, but that doesn’t mean that we have to wait to get prepped for spooky season!
Disney kicks off Halloween celebrations in Magic Kingdom in August (which is NEXT MONTH!) and Disneyland Resort starts celebrating in September. One of the big ways that the west coast celebrates is with the very popular Oogie Boogie Bash event — and we’ve got some important news about that party.
So much has changed in Disney World since the phased reopening of the parks began. Following the COVID-19 pandemic closures, health and safety guidelines were implemented to keep visitors and Cast Members safe and they caused us to relearn how to “do Disney World.”
Now that it’s been three years since the parks began opening their doors again, there are still remnants of those safety guidelines throughout Disney World. And so, we thought we’d take you on a journey with us to see how different Disney World was after the historic reopening of the parks!
Disney has been experimenting with some exciting technology lately.
At SXSW, we watched as a robot rabbit rollerbladed (and fell, then got back up!) and we talked to a real-life Tinker Bell in a tiny lantern! Hey Disney, an Alexa voice assistant, has started to debut in Disney World and Disneyland hotels. And, have you seen the new augmented reality headset that Apple and Disney are working together on? Recently, in an effort to make its parks more accessible, Disney debuted an exciting piece of technology at one of its theme parks.
This might be the most adorable news that we could get this week!
We’ve been tracking the progress in anticipation of San Fransokyo Square opening in Disney’s California Adventure to live out our best Big Hero 6 dreams, but this latest announcement has us ready to rope drop the new land more than before! [Read more…]
It’s an exciting time to be a Disney fan — new movies are on the horizon, innovative attractions are on the way, and of course, there are plenty of exciting new FOODS to try too!
