food IS a theme park
We have definitely had our fair share of snacks and treats at BoardWalk Bakery!
But today we’re moving away from the sweet and headed to a totally savory (and delicious) sandwich that’s a holiday delight!
It may only be November, but we are already stocking up on ALL the holiday merchandise and holiday snacks.
If you’re a big pin collector, we’ve spotted some cute holiday pins as well, but recently we spotted even more — and these are each themed to the different Disney World Resort hotels!
Although much of Disney World has reopened, some hotels and attractions will remain closed through November.
However, please note that at least one hotel has actually REOPENED in November — Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.
Now that the holidays have arrived in Disney World, we must try ALL of the new holiday treats!
We’ve noticed that rice krispie treats are starting to get holiday makeovers with the Pecan Pie Rice Krispie Treat, and now a Santa-themed krispie treat has made it’s way to Disney World!
What happens when a pie meets a Rice Krispie treat? Earlier this year, that marriage resulted in the Pumpkin Pie Rice Krispie Treat over at Goofy’s Candy Company.
While it was one of the cutest treats we saw this fall, unfortunately the flavor Pumpkin Pie Krispie wasn’t anything to write home about. But it certainly opened the door for Disney to transform all kinds of yummy pies into Rice Krispie form!
It’s holiday treats time babyyyyyy!
We’re taking you on a tour of NEW Holiday Treats like Eggnog Fudge, festive drinks, and MORE! Now, we’re trying a classic and CUTE new treat!
A few months ago, we shared that the Luna Park Pool and the Keister Coaster (a.k.a. the scariest slide in Disney World) over at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn would be getting a refurb.
We’ve been keeping an eye on the construction at this location and even heard from a Cast Member that our clown buddy has made his way to the big top in the sky and isn’t expected to return! We still haven’t been able to get a look at what’s going on behind the construction walls here to see what new look this slide will be rocking once it reopens, and it looks like we may not get that big reveal for a little bit longer.
A number of things have changed at Disney World since the park closures earlier this year.
One thing that’s been rather different has been transportation. Disney buses have a new loading and seating procedure, there are dividers and other safety measures in place in the Monorails, and the EPCOT monorail is not available. The Friendship Boats that take guests at certain resorts to and from EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are also not available at the moment…but they will be soon!
As the sun is coming up in Disney World, a quiet morning with spooky treats seems like the best way to kick off Hallo-Week! (Anybody else shivering with anticipation??)
Although the parks have continued to get busier, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort was fairly calm this morning as we made our way over to the BoardWalk Bakery. And, we started the day off on a sweet note since there wasn’t just one… but THREE fall treats that had our name all over them!
Hello, fall! We love this time of year because it brings so many wonderful autumn comfort flavors that involve apples, cinnamon, and of course, PUMPKIN!
We’ve already tried SO many pumpkin goodies this year: pumpkin fudge, pumpkin pancakes, caramel pumpkin cupcakes, and pumpkin Rice Krispie treats. If it’s pumpkin, we’re going to eat it.
