Disney announced its proposal to reopen Downtown Disney on July 9th, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure on July 17th, and select hotels on July 23rd.
Earlier today, Disneyland Resort released a reopening proposal!
If the proposal is approved by state and local governments, Downtown Disney will open July 9, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will open July 17, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will reopen July 23 (Disneyland Hotel will remain closed initially).
Disneyland has officially proposed its reopening plans for its theme parks, Downtown Disney, and some of its hotels just in time for the resort’s 65th anniversary.
There’s a LOT to unpack of the reopening, but fortunately, Disneyland seems to have our backs.
Disneyland Resort has released a reopening proposal including reopening dates.
If the proposal is approved by state and local governments, the reopening will kick-off with Downtown Disney beginning on July 9th, followed by Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure on July 17th. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will welcome back guests on July 23rd, while Disneyland Hotel will initially remain closed.
With Disney World’s theme park reopening set for July 11th, we’ve been looking out for some updates on the status of Disneyland Resort.
Up until this point, Disneyland Resort has only been taking new reservations for July 1st and later, but today, they have pushed that date back. Now, Disneyland has pushed that date back.
Disneyland Resort remains closed until further notice in response to the current global situation. Looking forward, though, guests are currently able to make reservations for Disneyland Resort as bookings for future vacations are currently being accepted for dates starting July 1st.
That said, we are keeping an eye on other areas of the Disneyland website including Advance Dining Reservations for restaurants around the Resort. And — at press time — the Disneyland website is showing no times available to book dining in July. [Read more…]
Last July, the Mandara Spa location in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort closed its doors.
Now, we’re waiting patiently on its replacement. Tenaya Stone Spa was set to debut in Spring 2020, but in light of the recent closures, Disney just quietly updated the opening date to say “Coming Soon.”
Disneyland is currently closed until further notice.
Disneyland has canceled vacations through the end of May and is now taking reservations beginning July 1 (previously June 1). Since Disneyland is now taking reservations starting in July, they have extended their previously released special offer for the people who were affected by closures.
