Today has been one wild day filled with TONS of new Lion King treats in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
We’ve reviewed the Serengeti Sangria, the Bugs ‘n Grubs Waffle Cone, the Asante Slush, and Simba’s Sunset Dole Whip. Now, we’re going to check out something else that’s pretty epic…
Did somebody say “Sangria”?! Yep! Animal Kingdom just did with the release of the limited-time-only Serengeti Sangria.
This is just one of many new offerings that Disney has released in celebration of The Lion King! A few others include the Simba Ice Cream Sandwich and the Simba Sunset Dole Whip.
Want some grubs? How about some BUGS? Well, if you said “YES” to both, you’re in the right place!
Because we’re bringing you the Bugs ‘n Grubs Waffle Cone, currently served at the Anandapur Ice Cream Truck and Trilo-Bites in Disney’s Animal Kingdom as part of a new batch of specialty snacks in honor of the characters of “The Lion King” available now through the end of summer! [Read more…]
Africa in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is — depending on the season — home to a Shave Ice Cart. Currently you’ll find it near the village’s Harambe Market. And it’s serving up one of several specialty treats in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of The Lion King (not to mention the live-action film coming this July).
It’s the Asante Slush: Shave Ice with watermelon and mango passion-fruit flavored syrups! [Read more…]
He’s brushin’ up on looking down, he’s working on his ROAR! It’s SIMBA, and he’s currently the star of the Simba Ice Cream Sandwich at Animal Kingdom’s Tamu Tamu as one of the specialty snacks celebrating The Lion King this summer!
The Simba Ice Cream Sandwich places a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream between two chocolate chip cookies — the top one of which is decorated with an edible image of Simba surrounded by a chocolate frosting mane. [Read more…]
We know that many of you planned your Disney World vacation BEFORE the Galaxy’s Edge dates were released, so we want to do our best to help you navigate and alleviate the stress of some of those crowds! If you’re a morning person then you’re in for a treat with new EXTRA Extra Magic Hours! Not sure what that means? No problemo — we’re gonna tell you all about it!
Regular Extra Magic Hours allow Disney World hotel guests to access the parks with low crowds first thing in the morning to enjoy the cooler temps, shorter lines, cool photos with fewer guests, etc. Now…you HAVE to be staying at a Disney resort in order to have access to these Extra Magic Hours. This is one of the many perks that Disney puts in place to get you to stay at one of their hotels over off-property hotels.
So, what are Extra Extra Magic Hours and why were they created? Well, Disney often has Extra Magic Hours, but these are typically just an hour or two in the morning or evening at the parks. Extra Extra Magic Hours are additional park hours that have been added for resort guests DAILY.
Our guess is that Disney has done this to try to alleviate some of the Galaxy’s Edge crowds since an insane amount of guests will be heading to the parks for the opening of the new land this fall. Galaxy’s Edge is set to open on August 29th, which is why the Extra Extra Magic Hours will be offered every day starting September 1. They will continue until November 2, 2019, at the following theme parks and times.
This year marks the 25th Anniversary of “The Lion King” (and the live-action version of the film will make its debut in July!). And to celebrate, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is rolling out all the snacks — I mean, all the stops! — with a variety of treats available starting May 24th which will be available through the end of the summer!
Stop by Tamu Tamu for the Simba Ice Cream Sandwich: Vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two chocolate chip cookies and decorated with a chocolate tail and an image of Simba. [Read more…]
Disney World’s Animal Kingdom will ring in the holiday season like never before with NEW entertainment and holiday décor beginning November 8, 2019!
On Discovery Island, guests will find themselves “in the midst of a celebration of winter, hand-crafted by the eclectic community of artists who make the island their home.” During the day, guests will encounter a “holiday gathering of winter animals, realized in the form of life-size, artisan-sculpted puppets. Reindeer, foxes, polar bears, penguins and more” will interact with guests who will also enjoy performances by serenading musicians for festive fun. [Read more…]
