Orlando International Airport Shows First Look at New Restaurants and Shops

Disney World and Universal Orlando aren’t the only things making big changes this year.

Even Orlando International Airport is getting some updates. A new parking guidance system is on the way, Terminal C is getting an expansion, and new shops and restaurants are coming to the airport soon. We previously got a list of new restaurants coming to the airport, but now Orlando International Airport has shared new concept art showcasing those new restaurants  PLUS concept art of some new shops.

NEWS: A NEW Bar Is Coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort!

Over the past several years, Disney World has made some major hotel changes.

We’ve seen updated hotel rooms, refurbished lobbies, and even entirely new buildings added to some of the resorts. But one hotel that’s been getting perhaps the biggest and longest overhaul of all of them? The Grand Floridian Resort! This hotel refurbishment has been going on for YEARS now, and they’re culminating the changes with a big update to the lobby…which includes a new lobby bar.

Why Is It Taking Disney World a Full Year to Refurbish Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin?

Disney World is undergoing some pretty intense refurbishments and adding some massive construction projects over the next few years.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed for refurbishment through at least the beginning of 2026, Dinoland U.S.A. has begun its transition into Pueblo Esperanza, It’s Tough to Be A Bug just closed to make way for Zootopia: Better Zoogether, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Disney more recently announced another massive closure that will take at least a year.

Experts Predict When Disney World Will Announce a Fifth Park

Epic Universe is garnering a lot of attention from theme park fans. Universal’s brand-new theme park is set to open on May 22nd, 2025, but Team Members and media have already gotten a chance to experience this “epic” park.

The new park features five themed lands that allow guests to experience some of their favorite stories and characters in new ways. You can step into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, Dark Universe, Super Nintendo World, and Celestial Park. As Epic Universe gets closer to opening, there have also been questions about how Disney World plans to compete.

NEW Details Revealed: A Long-Neglected Magic Kingdom Ride Is Set for a Major Overhaul

We’ll be the first to admit that ride closures can put a damper on your Disney World vacation, but sometimes they are NECESSARY.

When some attractions have been open upwards of 50 years, it’s pretty necessary for Disney to close them occasionally for technological, structural, and safety updates. Even the newer rides need help sometimes, too! So when it was announced that a Magic Kingdom ride was closing for refurbishment to get some much-needed changes, we were actually fairly excited.

A NEW Magic Kingdom Construction Project Joins the Sea of Construction Walls

There are A LOT of new things coming to Magic Kingdom soon! Disney had already announced a Cars area that will replace Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America, plus a brand-new Villains land will be built behind Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Why Is It Taking Disney World Over Two Years to Build the New Tropical Americas Land?

A NEW land is coming to Animal Kingdom…but why is it taking SO long?

At the 2023 D23 Expo and the 2024 D23 Ultimate Fan Event, Disney talked about a new land that would be coming to Animal Kingdom. The new land would be themed to the Tropical Americas, specifically built around a fictional town Pueblo Esperanza. However, don’t make plans to see the new land anytime soon.

Disney’s Private Island Castaway Cay

Castaway Cay, which has been part of Disney Cruise Line itineraries since the line’s inception, was revolutionary for the time. It was the first private island in the industry to feature direct docking, which allowed guests to disembark without being tendered to land. With its beaches, including the adult-only Serenity Bay, and activities like bicycle rentals, personal watercraft rentals, massages overlooking the ocean, snorkeling, parasailing, volleyball, and basketball, the island has long been a favorite of Disney Cruise line passengers. Now, it looks like Disney may be cooking up something new.
