Over the years, we’ve had some unfortunate snacks, some over-the-top cuisine, and some combinations that were pretty surprising. Today, we stopped by a newly reopened spot in Magic Kingdom to try out a new menu item (and possibly to take it to the next level 😉).
Wow! WHAT. A. MONTH.
It seems that every month that passes has more and more BIG news. In this month alone, we saw major health and safety measures phase-out, a fan-favorite show came back, and we got information on what Halloween will look like at Disney World this year! So let’s dive into the BIGGEST updates from May in Disney World!
We’ve gotta be real with you: we LOVE coming up with food hacks here at DFB.
We’ve added ice cream to Nutella Waffles and created our very own Mickey-shaped dessert. We even invented a drink that made it on the OFFICIAL menu over at Barefoot Pool Bar! But today, we’re taking a CLASSIC Disney snack and putting a twist on it…and you’d better buckle up for this one.
Here at DFB, we’re all about those snack hacks!
We were pairing corn dog nuggets with cheese long before it was a menu combo at Casey’s Corner, and we’ve been known to add ice cream to our favorite desserts from time to time. Recently, (with the help of a Cast Member) we made a new drink concoction at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and now it’s on the menu!
Flame Tree Barbecue is a fast food spot in Animal Kingdom, just past and to the right of the Tree of Life. You can nosh on barbecue classics on a lush outdoor patio overlooking Discovery River. On our most recent visit, we created an entree mashup from two different dishes, and LOVED the result! [Read more…]
We’ve got a NEW DFB Snack Hack to fill you in on, my friends… and THIS one is coming to you straight from Magic Kingdom in an Adventureland and Frontierland Snack Mash-up!
We love bringing you oodles of DFB Snack Hacks from around the World, like a boozy twist on our beloved Kakamora Float and a not-so-little somethin’ called the Cheesy Bacon Donut. And we’re pretty darn happy with our newest combo, if we do say so ourselves, because it combines TWO epic treats in a new twist that we think our fellow Churro and Dole Whip fans may want to get in on! We’re back with another DFB food hack for ya!
You know we love finding cool and creative ways to eat in Disney World. We’ve taught you how to make waffle ice cream sandwiches, hack Disney drinks, and even access top-secret menus! And today, we’re back with a fun way to create your own Mickey-shaped snack.
EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts serves up some pretty gorgeous dishes.
So gorgeous, that we give each one a special photoshoot before we dive into the almost-to-pretty-to-eat foods and drinks. And, over at The Painted Panda booth, the Sea Butterfly has become a regular visitor to the festival. We get it — it’s STUNNING! But, what if we could make it even MORE pretty?
We try a lot of things when we attempt to hack a Disney snack and for this one, we’re calling on science.
We’re about to blow your mind, because we found a way to take one of Disney’s classic snacks and make it even BETTER.
You may remember we have a thing for showing you how to improve your favorite Disney dishes. We’ve hacked Everglazed Donuts and Cold Brew’s bacon grilled cheese donut, Animal Kingdom’s strawberry ice cream, and more. But this may be our most iconic hack yet!
When it comes to iconic Disney snacks, Dole Whip is definitely a top contender!
In addition to the classic pineapple, we’ve seen a number of Dole Whip flavor options make their way into Disney World. Two of our favorite soft serve flavors that are currently available in Magic Kingdom are coconut — which is included in our beloved Kakamora Float — and raspberry.
