We’ve all been guilty of breaking this Disney World dining rule, but it’s time to seriously reconsider.
Is there a right and wrong way to eat at Disney World? We generally provide guidelines on how we like to dine during our Disney trips, but, ultimately, it’s your vacation and you can go about it however you choose. However, experts have chimed in and issued a warning about a dining cardinal sin that is committed EVERY DAY at Disney World.
We’re visiting a classic Magic Kingdom restaurant to see if it still holds up!
The Crystal Palace is an established Magic Kingdom buffet that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a Victorian greenhouse setting. The restaurant offers a character dining experience featuring Winnie the Pooh and pals from the Hundred-Acre Wood and some tasty American fare. We recently visited and left with PLENTY of thoughts!
Are you getting in on the latest Disney World craze?
Here at the Disney Food Blog, we’re all about the MANY delicious Disney World dining offerings — and so are many of you!!! From experiencing the latest food festivals to checking out fan-favorite restaurants, we can be found dining at Disney World EVERY DAY. In fact, we’ve noticed an awesome trend during our dining exploits!
There is no shortage of sweet treats at Disney World’s shopping and dining district, Disney Springs!
Whether you are looking for a giant cookie, DOLE Whip, or some Gelato, Disney Springs is the place to be! We recently stopped by Vivoli il Gelato to try their Waffle Boat Sundae. Yes — you heard that right, BOAT and not bowl!
A popular Disney World restaurant is currently closed for a brief refurbishment.
Sebastian’s Bistro, the popular all-you-can-enjoy restaurant located at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, is currently down for approximately a week. According to a cast member we spoke with, the restaurant’s floors are being updated.
Universal Orlando‘s newest resort has officially opened!
Terra Luna Resort, the sister resort to Stella Nova (which opened a few months ago), is now open. Both resorts sit adjacent to the brand-new Universal Orlando theme park, Epic Universe, which is set to open on May 22nd, 2025. We are here checking out everything Terra Luna has to offer, including the new bar, Luna Bar! Come along with us!
When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well.
We recently stopped by Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe at Magic Kingdom — which is not typically a place we recommend for the best eats at this park — to see if our theory was still correct. Is this classic theme park meal really as disappointing as everyone says?
Magic Kingdom is known for many things — a magical atmosphere, the iconic Cinderella Castle, nostalgic attractions, and so much more.
However, it’s also unfortunately known for being the weakest park when it comes to dining options around the resort. You’ll find decent food here, but nothing that will really blow your socks off (with the exception of Skipper Canteen, we love you Skipper Canteen!), and you often may find yourself underwhelmed with the different restaurants. We’ve gotta be honest though, there are a few things that make us cringe so bad we seriously think about turning around and choosing to eat at a different park entirely.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: not all Disney World restaurants are created equally. Some are worth singing about from the rooftops, while others are more of a one-and-done.
This brings us to Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs — a restaurant we find generally so upsetting, that even the Terminator himself couldn’t save it (okay, that might be dramatic — but you get it). While there are some redeemable dishes on the menu at this spot, the most recent meal we tried certainly wasn’t one of them.
