Layoffs have hit Disney once again.

On Wednesday, July 31st, Disney announced a massive round of layoffs. The cuts will affect roughly 140 employees – – or 2% of the company’s workforce – – across the television division according to Variety.
If you grew up watching Disney Channel sitcom shows in the 90s and 2000s, chances are you were glued to the TV for hours at a time.

While we look back fondly over those nostalgic years and even dedicate whole after-hours events at Disneyland themed to them, there is just one thing that frustrates us — a strict cancellation rule marking the end of the show from its very beginning.

We already knew several companies like Warner Brothers Discovery were in talks with key streaming platforms to join forces and offer consumers a competitive bundle of streaming platforms. And it wasn’t too long ago since we saw Disney+ and Hulu merge allowing subscribers for both services to access each other’s content across both platforms. Inside Out 2 Preview at Walt Disney Presents
Last month, Disney and Pixar released Inside Out 2, the sequel to the Academy Award-winning 2015 original. The film, which follows emotions including Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear as they guide the mind of teenager Riley Andersen as she navigates puberty, was highly anticipated, but no one suspected how successful it was going to become.
Stars, they’re just like us! And by “us,” we mean Disney fans, of course!
