It’s officially time to go to infinity and beyond, because Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has finally reopened at Magic Kingdom!
After Cast Member previews and a surprise soft opening, this popular Tomorrowland ride is welcoming Space Cadets once again. We stopped by Magic Kingdom to check out the crowds and wait times, and we certainly weren’t the only ones!
The Disney Skyliner has fans. A lot of them. And honestly, we get it. It’s fast, it’s pretty, it feels a little bit like your transportation got upgraded from “theme park bus” to “European vacation fever dream,” and it connects EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios with Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Riviera Resort. These days, it generally starts running one hour before Early Theme Park Entry at EPCOT or Hollywood Studios and usually keeps going until 90 minutes after those parks close.

Who’s up for a ride on the Skyliner?
But here’s the bad news: the Skyliner is not some flawless floating chariot sent from the heavens to fix all your Disney transportation problems. It is still public transportation. Public transportation that happens to dangle in the sky. And that means it comes with a few very real headaches you should know about before you build your whole vacation strategy around it.
If you’re looking for a new pair of sneakers for Disney, we’ve got you covered. Nike just released so many new colors of our favorite pairs of sneakers, and we’re about to spend all of our money!
The Nike Max Excee Shoes are inspired by the Nike Air Max 90s to bring their classic ’90s look into a new, modern space. The foam midsole and outsole provide comfort without weighing you down, and the Air-Sole unit is visible through 3 windows for an updated look. Elongated design lines honor the Air Max 90 while modernizing it, which our millennial hearts love! They come in both men’s and women’s sizes in dozens of colors, so there’s a sneaker for everyone.
There’s so much construction happening at Magic Kingdom right now. When we went to check out the testing on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, a sneak peek of a brand-new land caught our eye!
The all-new Cars-themed land, Piston Peak, is under construction right in front of Big Thunder Mountain. We could see some of the progress during the Big Thunder Mountain test drives!
We’ve seen some new things happening for Disney recently abroad. The new Disney Adventure World in Paris, the new Disney Adventure cruise ship in Singapore. But do not let that fool you into thinking Disney is ready to take a little lie-down and a nap. The company is still pushing a roughly $60 billion investment plan across parks and cruise capacity over about 10 years, which is why the project list still looks like it drank three cold brews and stole a construction crane.
The next big checkpoint is D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, happening August 14 through 16, 2026, in Anaheim. Disney has already scheduled its Disney Experiences Showcase for August 15, which is basically a neon sign flashing “park people, get in here.” And because Josh D’Amaro officially became Disney’s CEO on March 18, 2026, there’s even more reason to think this summer’s presentation could bring fresh timelines, new concept art, and maybe the first wave of projects that feel a little more like his personal stamp on the future of the company.
There’s a lot more to do at Disney World than just going to the theme parks. Yes, you have Disney Springs, but checking out all of Disney World’s resorts is a very fun activity we love to do all the time!

Riviera Resort
Resort Hopping shows you a different side of Disney with more opportunities for shopping, dining, entertainment, and more. It used to be easy and free to do, until Disney introduced a new rule that requires you to have a hotel or dining reservation, making it so much harder. That being said, we’ve crafted together a list of tips for how you can still resort hop without reservations.
In case you didn’t know, whenever Disney Cast Members aren’t working, they’re having fun at the parks. So we asked Disney Cast Members what their favorite phone accessories are, for science!
We got so much great feedback, but a lot of the products were items that we’ve tried ourselves! Here are 6 of the phone accessories that both Disney Cast Members and our team here at Disney Food Blog can’t go to Disney without.
Ask a Disney Parks fan how they feel about movie-based attractions and you are not getting a simple answer. You are getting a full monologue, three examples, one deeply personal EPCOT grievance, and possibly a dramatic sigh. This debate has been simmering for years, but lately it has started to feel a lot less like fan speculation and a lot more like Disney’s actual blueprint.
That is because Disney has not exactly been coy about where things are headed. In 2024, Bob Iger said that “almost all” of Disney’s investment in park lands and attractions would be built around IP. Then, at Disney’s 2025 shareholders meeting, the company highlighted a pipeline packed with IP-driven projects, including Cars and a Villains land at Magic Kingdom, a Monsters, Inc. land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with Encanto and Indiana Jones in the mix. In other words, this is no longer just a fan fear, or a fan dream, depending on which side of the argument you live on. It is very much the plan.
Early Theme Park Entry at Disney World can be a total game-changer!
If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you have access to this extra benefit that allows an additional 30 minutes in the theme parks every morning — which can make a huge difference. But, if you’re heading to Early Entry at Magic Kingdom soon, you need to know that something has changed!
