Walt Disney World has been making cuts, delaying construction projects, and making health and safety changes around the parks recently.
This week alone, Disney made an official statement that the Spaceship Earth renovation and the new Mary Poppins attraction are being postponed. We just learned three new attractions that will allegedly close permanently.
We’re live from the grand re-opening of Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World!
Shopping is a little different since Disney World re-opened. Some virtual queues have been implemented and social distancing markers are placed everywhere to create distance between guests. Earlier, we saw that The Marketplace Outpost in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was roped off and only allowing one guest per shop. We headed to The Droid Depot and Savi’s Workshop to see if the hands-on experiences were any different than before. [Read more…]
We’re back exploring Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the reopening of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
It’s not a trip to Batuu without a pit stop at Oga’s Cantina! Disney pre-warned us that the dining experience would be a little different than it was prior to closing and we got to see what that was all about today! [Read more…]
Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom kicked off their grand re-opening last weekend! We were in the parks staking out what was new and missing from our favorite theme parks.
Most restaurants are offering limited menus due to the new re-opening procedures. With that, we noticed a lot of crowd-favorite snacks went missing! We already knew some of these tasty treats wouldn’t be making a reappearance, at least not initially, but the loss became way too real now that we’re back in the parks! [Read more…]
Update: We spoke with a General Manager Cast Member who confirmed for us Disney World is not selling new Tables in Wonderland memberships for the time being. We’ll provide more updates as soon as more information becomes available.
Walt Disney World has undergone a lot of changes since re-opening. We’ve seen limited menus, increased sanitation procedures, and many changes to experiences like rides and attractions.
One of the most surprising changes was the cancelation of the Disney Dining Plan. Many guests rely on the dining plan to budget for their vacations. We were curious to see what the process would be like for guests who use the Tables in Wonderland dining discount card. Would Cast Members honor the discount for those of us whose cards expired during the closure? [Read more…]
We’ve been reporting LIVE from Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom for the Annual Passholder and Cast Member previews over the last few days!
We wanted to touch base on what we’ve experienced so far when going through security with the new health and safety protocols so you can be better prepared for your next visit. Do keep in mind that we have only checked this out during the previews and have experienced changes already, so this process could change again.
We’ve been hopping around Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom during Cast Member and Annual Passholder previews this week.
Some attractions are missing major scenes while others have remained about the same. Every attraction is receiving extra sanitation and most are spacing out seating to create distance between travel groups. We headed to Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to experience the thrill ride under the new conditions. [Read more…]
Walt Disney World is preparing to reopen this weekend. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom will open on July 11th with Hollywood Studios and EPCOT following closely on July 15th.
Cast Member previews gave us insight into how dining, shopping, and attractions will be handled when the theme parks have officially opened. Disney just released a short video depicting how Cast Members are preparing for the park’s official re-opening the public since the closure in March. [Read more…]
UPDATE: Disney has updated the reopening list to reflect that Bar Riva WILL be reopening with Disney’s Riviera Resort.
Walt Disney World is preparing to re-open this week while many of the Disney hotels are already open and operational. Some restaurants will modify the dining experience while others are not set to re-open until further notice.
Disney’s Riviera Resort was one of the Disney resorts to re-open first. Here, we got our first taste of what it is like experiencing character dining under the new conditions. As operations continue to update we noticed that one of the resorts onsite bars has been removed from Disney’s list of available dining locations.
