Ahoy, sailors! We’ve been on choppy waters lately, toiling away on the My Disney Experience website in hopes of securing a Beak and Barrel (the new Pirates of the Caribbean tavern) reservation in Magic Kingdom. Let’s just say the experience of securing reservations was NOT smooth sailing….

In fact, the first day that dining reservations opened to guests, on August 20th, reservations quickly booked up for September AND October. Here’s what we’re seeing.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Park expansions, ride rethemes, and much more are coming to Disney World in the coming years, and Disney gave us a closer look at a few of those changes with some recent behind-the-scene updates!
Back at D23, Disney announced that an official Monsters Inc. themed land, Monstropolis, would be coming to Hollywood Studios. Not only that, but Chairman Josh D’Amaro told the crowd, “You’ll go into the factory and experience the first suspended coaster ever in a Disney park. Remember in the movie how those claws grab the doors and hoist them up into the air to take them away? We’re doing that, too. And you’re going along for the ride.”

Ever since then, we have been eagerly anticipating any news about the upcoming attraction (because just like Josh D’Amaro, we too have always wanted to ride on the doors like Mike and Sulley!). Well, from November to March, locals and avid visitors alike tend to LOVE the weather at Disney World. It’s typically sunny, a bit breezy, and around 70 to 80 degrees. However, late spring is when nature’s thermostat gets kicked up a notch and we start seeing temperatures above 90 degrees. Well, get ready, y’all. It’s coming.
It’s widely known as the “Disney World of Gas Stations” for a reason.
Buc-ee’s
Yes, we’re here today to talk about Buc-ee’s! The iconic gas station was once a Texas-exclusive, but is now spreading like wildfire all over the southeast. What makes it so iconic, you ask? Well, for one — it’s HUGE. In true Texas fashion, it’s bigger than all its competitors and boasts over 100 gas pumps at most locations, car washes, roomy and clean restrooms, and so much food, snacks, and merchandise that it’s almost overwhelming. The chain has gone viral in recent years for the food, and while we’d had a few things here and there on roadtrips, we felt it was time to do an actual REVIEW now that a Buc-ee’s is being built in Central Florida. So, put on your stretchy pants, fasten your seatbelts, and let’s go to Buc-ee’s!
Disney World is a BIG place where LOTS of things happen on the daily. It can be hard to bring you “the most exciting” updates or highlights because there is truly just so much that occurs day in and day out.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that Disney days are like snowflakes. No two are the same. EPCOT
Yes, I’m talking about TikTok. While ever-changing social media trends have their cons, I LOVE them most of the time. Why? Well, because these trends highlight and spread positive topics, activities, hobbies, and MORE. Thus, more and more folks are able to appreciate those things and maybe even try something new. Social media is one of the ways that we share our love for Disney World, and we automatically love it when others do the same, as long as it’s done in a respectful manner. Well, social media (TikTok especially) has caused EPCOT to sort of be cast as the Disney Park that doesn’t necessarily give Disney vibes — meaning its for everyone. You’ll never guess which aspect of EPCOT non-Disney adults find the most appealing. 😉
