You see, I’ve been flying to the West Coast to visit your smaller, yet older relative, the Happiest Place on Earth. Yes, I’ve been visiting Disneyland instead. But hear me out: I have my reasons: it’s not you, it’s me.

It’s been a long time coming. We’ve been monitoring the construction progress in Magic Kingdom for AGES as Splash Mountain slowly transformed into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Disney has shared all kinds of fun updates about the animatronics on the ride, teased a beignet-scented queue, and tested the big drop LIVE in Magic Kingdom. We also shared that the ride is opening in Magic Kingdom in the summer of 2024, but now the moment has arrived — we have the official, CONFIRMED opening DATE!

Being a Mom is one of the hardest jobs in the world, and that can be increased tenfold when you’re on a Disney World vacation. We found something that can make one part of your vacation easier though, so don’t pass by this the next time you’re in Magic Kingdom!
Let me tell you something. I like to sleep in. I like soft beds, dark rooms, and warm drinks. Do you know what I don’t like? Alarm clocks. Crowds. Rushing around. General chaos. ESPECIALLY on vacation. But when you’re spending all that money on Magic Kingdom park tickets, is it really right to snooze through valuable park time?
I’m not a morning person
If you hate chaotic mornings in Magic Kingdom but still want to make the most of your time in Disney World, you’re not alone. Sure, lots of people love to rope-drop the parks at the crack of dawn, but not everyone enjoys a busy morning. What can you do instead? Plenty! (And none of it requires a 6AM alarm!)

The major attractions at the magic Kingdom and EPCOT both saw quantifiable increases in average wait times over the first full week of May. Not to be outdone, Animal Kingdom’s Flight of Passage – the ride with the highest average wait time in the whole resort – leapt up close to 100 minutes.
