We’re watching Disney put the finishing touches on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (it opens November 15th!), and we’re waiting for “it’s a small world” to re-open with its holiday overlay next month. But we’ve spotted another change in Disneyland — and you’ll have to look really closely to see it!

The spooky season is so fun! We’ve added pumpkins, bats, ghosts, and more to our living rooms, kitchens, kids’ rooms, and anywhere else we can think of. But there’s one cutie pie decoration that stands out above the rest and doubles as a night light!

Disney World likes to celebrate the holidays a little early, and by early, we mean Halloween in August! Magic Kingdom will soon be gearing up to host Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, but preparations for the party may start popping up sooner than you would think!

Even though Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party doesn’t start until August 11th, we’ve seen some fall-themed decorations arrive in Magic Kingdom early. On top of that, we’ve also started to see spooky season merchandise in the gift shops, so if you’re visiting for a summer trip, you might get to see a sneak peek of the Halloween happenings. But if things are starting early…when will they end?!

If you’ve never been to the parks and hotels during Halloween, there’s something especially enchanting about it. Pumpkins, ghosts, bats, characters in costumes, special parties, and more are everywhere you look — and Disney makes it a point to get the party started early. So early, in fact, that the first Halloween decorations have already arrived in Magic Kingdom!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be returning to Disney World, as well as Disneyland’s Oogie Boogie Bash. We’ve already started getting peeks at new Disney Halloween-themed merchandise coming soon too, but if you want to buy some decorations RIGHT NOW, you’ve gotta check these out!
Okay, so we know a lot of you are HUGE Haunted Mansion fans.
Haunted Mansion in Disney World
We get it — we also start throwing money at Disney when the company releases new Haunted Mansion merchandise. Yes, we’ve seen a Loungefly bag (or several), ears, plus a spirit jersey, plus ornaments, and more. But the one thing we never realized we ALWAYS wanted is now available online — and it’s pricey. BUT IT’S ALSO WAY COOL. Someone stop us from blowing our entire souvenir budget on it.
Where did the time go?! It feels like we were just setting off fireworks and enjoying slices of cold watermelon. Fall really snuck up on us, but don’t worry, we have a solution!
