The holidays have arrived at the Boardwalk Resort in Disney World!
Today we’re heading over there to get our holly jolly on, a task that’s even easier than it sounds with the resort’s newest festive drink offering!
in Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs is an Indiana Jones-inspired bar where creatively-applied movie references are part of everything they do. From our first visit, we loved the cool space and the funky menu.
And Jock’s not just in it for the clever names. Come the holiday season, they’re also in it for the seasonal drinks! During Halloween we loved the spooky drinks and the Poison Apple Glow Cubes that came with them. And for the Christmas season, Jock Lindsey’s offering two holiday libations.
Alert, alert: a new flavor of Wine Slush has arrived at Walt Disney World! This is not a drill! Don’t worry: we’re here with the details. Cue the confetti! We also have a review of the beautiful, seasonal Apricot Peach Verrine dessert for you. (So many verrines this year.) It’s all part of the Holidays at Disney Springs.
You probably want to start with the wine, right? Amorette’s Patisserie at Disney Springs introduced the world to the magic of Wine Slushies a little over a year ago, so we were pretty jazzed to find a new seasonal wine slush flavor on the menu: Cranberry Chardonnay.

Happy Holidays, Everyone
!
The winter holiday season is officially underway, and that can only mean one thing…Fantastic Holiday Treats!
And while I love cupcakes and cookies and such, one of my favorite ways to celebrate this time of the year are the yummo drinks that pop up at Walt Disney World!
There are so many great ones to choose from, but here are a few of my favorites. I can’t wait to have them again this year!
For the last few years, a delightful little holiday kiosk has popped up in the Germany Pavilion of Epcot’s World Showcase. They started by serving glühwein and a few other tasty treats. But last year, the spot opened as Prost!, and served up a myriad of treats from Karamell-Küche!
My favorite find? The Hot Salted Caramel!
When I first saw this on the menu, I assumed they meant salted caramel hot chocolate. Which would also be, you know, totally fine. But NO. They meant straight up, hot caramel, in a glass, with a pinch of salt just for fun.
And my oh my…it’s amazing. So rich that you probably won’t be able to finish it, but you’ll relish trying if you’re anything like me. I am still dreaming about this one. All of the richness of that golden, buttery Werther’s Caramel in drink form?? Sign me up!
The classic holiday spiced wine drink has moved to Germany’s Sommerfest this year! Glühwein is the perfect way to keep warm on a chilly day in Epcot (and by chilly, we mean, like, 60 degrees).
It was so much fun checking out the delicious holiday treats at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! And the Streets of America Newsstand Holiday Eats is a great place to snag a snack or a warming beverage right before you head back to check out the Osbourne Family Lights!
If you’re ready for a little break in your day, you must try out the Spiced Eggnog. If Christmas were available in a cup, then this would definitely be in the running for the title.
After all, it’s just not Christmas without a serving of this rich, creamy treat! And spiked with [Read more…]

So, if you’ve been to a Disney theme park or restaurant for a lunch or dinner meal, chances are you’ve seen a glowing drink or two. Or maybe you’ve even partaken in one yourself?
For those of you who perhaps haven’t had a glowing ice cube experience yet, here’s a little background. For several years now, Disney has used evolving versions of these re-usable glow cubes — plastic, ice-cube-shaped drink decorations — to jazz up many of their feature cocktails.
The glow cubes in Disney restaurants can be set at different colors using a button on the bottom (you used to have to whack them on the table to get them to turn on and off, but now it’s all a bit more civilized), and there are even settings where they cycle through different colors automatically.
The most famous might be the Blue Glow-tini, which even highlights the cube as part of its name. This sought-after concoction can be found at locations all over Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Mixed with Citrus Vodka, Peach Schnapps, Blue Curacao, Pineapple Juice, and occasionally some Sweet and Sour, this fun drink can knock your socks off.
So, mostly since we’ve never done it before, I thought it would be fun to do a little round-up of some of my other favorite glow-drinks that Disney features on their menus. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it IS a list of [Read more…]

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is decking the halls with holiday treats!!
Thanks to Sue Van Vleet for sending over a pic of this awesome new cupcake, created to celebrate the holidays in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
According to Sue, it seems to be a regular chocolate cupcake. From the look of it, it seems to be “dusted” with snow and features a twinkly light-up ice cube in the middle! Kind of like a snowy iceberg floating out at sea!
This treat is offered as part of a larger menu of holiday goodies that seems to get bigger and bigger at the Studios every year! I’m a little disturbed that it’s [Read more…]
