Hello, DFB friends! We have more unexpected news from Disney World this week!
From changes in character dining policies to a ride evacuation and a lost little cup, this was a bit of an odd week in Disney World. Take a look!
We’re heading to the Magic Kingdom today for some updates!
If you’re visiting this park soon, you’ll find some delicious holiday snacks, gorgeous decorations, and even a bunch of new merchandise options. Here are a few more updates that you’ll want to know about before you visit! [Read more…]
Picture it: you’ve got your plush, ears, spirit jersey, and more in your hands. Then, you walk to the registers and realize there is an ENORMOUS checkout line.
That’s where Mobile Merchandise Checkout can help! With this mobile option, you can pay for all of your items and then quickly visit a Mobile Checkout desk before quickly and easily going on your way. So far, the system has only been tested in select stores, but soon you’ll be able to SKIP the long checkout lines at more spots!
Minnie ears, board games, toys, pins, and more — there is a LOT of Disney merchandise out there.
One big shopping spot that has a lot of those collectibles is the Emporium in Magic Kingdom. As the sort-of “flagship” store for Magic Kingdom, you’ll find a whole lot of items in the Emporium, and you can also sometimes find a whole lot of lines! If you’re hoping to get some fun Disney items from the Emporium WITHOUT having to wait in a long line, there’s something you need to know about.
Shopping at Disney Parks is fun, but sometimes, we aren’t big fans of standing in the long lines to check out.

Mobile Checkout
That’s why we were so excited to use Mobile Checkout at Disneyland when it was first introduced. All you have to do is scan in what you’re buying with your phone, checkout, pay with your phone, and you’re done! How convenient is that! And that feature eventually made its way to some Disney World shops, too!
We’re continuing to see ways Disney is becoming more tech-y.
Over the last year, Mobile Order, Mobile Dine Check-In, online hotel check-in, and more have become BIG things. Another addition? Mobile Checkout for select stores! We’ve previously seen this feature at Mouse Gear in EPCOT and Everything POP Shopping at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and now, it’s been introduced somewhere else.
Thinking of heading to the Most Magical Place on Earth soon?
Well, you might have your must-do rides and snacks planned out. But, there are Disney World GAME CHANGERS that you might not be using…yet (but you TOTALLY should be). If you want to make sure you have the BEST time ever at the parks these are the essentials you’ll want to use!
After Disney World reopened following its lengthy closure in 2020, it was a LOT different than it used to be! But even after being reopened for 6 months, we’ve seen a lot of changes at the parks!
Some of the health and safety guidelines have changed, park capacity has increased, and there are now a LOT of long confusing lines. But that’s why we’re here: to make sure you don’t make the same mistakes we’ve made when visiting the parks in 2021!
