Hello to all of our DFB Friends from Magic Kingdom!
We spent some time at Magic Kingdom on New Year’s Day checking to see what 2021 updates we could find! Are you ready? Let’s go!
Park hopping is much different than it used to be.
We’ve had some time to get used to the new park hopping system, and feel pretty confident in our ability to…well, park hop! Those who haven’t visited the parks since 2019 may not recognize park hopping, as it’s changed quite a bit. The rules for hopping between parks, or even just getting into the first park of the day, are different. But don’t worry if this is all new to you — we’ll walk you through a day of park hopping!
Many Disney fans are making their first return trip to Disney World since the pandemic-related closures in 2020. If this describes you, then you are going to find many things changed in Disney World, and one thing that’s important to know for your trip planning is that Park Hopping works differently today!
When Disney World first re-opened in 2020, Park Hopping was suspended. The option to “hop” between Disney World parks returned in 2021, with a few modifications. We’ve been Park Hopping ever since, and we have the answers to ALL your questions!
We are having a wonderful New Year’s Day because PARK HOPPING is BACK, baby!
The Park Hopper ticket option currently allows guests to hop during park hopping hours (after 2PM right now!). We JUST found out that you CAN hop to more than one park each day, and now we know exactly how many you can hop to!
With the New Year comes the return of park hopping at Disney World!
And even though this is a new park hopping process than it was before, we’re taking a look at park to park transportation! Today is the first day this transportation option is available since Disney World’s closure in March of 2020, so we couldn’t wait to see what changed (or didn’t) with the new park hopping system!
We’ve been waiting a while for this day — Park Hopping is back!
Ever since it was announced that Park Hopping would be returning in a modified way, we’ve had a lot of questions. Will it be worth the cost? How will it impact our Disney trips? Will a dining reservation get us into a park? And now that we’ve had the chance to try the new system for ourselves, we’re ready to answer one of the questions that has been in the back of our minds: Can I hop to multiple parks in one day?
Park hopping returns today but it’s pretty different than before the closures.
Guests visiting Disney World today may have the Park Hopper ticket option that allows them to visit other parks during Park Hopper hours (after 2PM for now). The catch is that these parks CAN hit capacity and if they do, you won’t be allowed inside. Here’s what we know so far about how to check for theme park Park Hopper availability!
You might be on vacation during this holiday season, or just trying to squeeze in a few extra naps to catch up on some much-needed rest, but Disney news never takes a break!

Spaceship Earth
Another week has passed at the most magical place on earth, and some BIG updates have been announced or seen in the parks. From the return of Park Hopping to an update on the EPCOT monorail, today we’re taking a look at 5 pieces of Disney news from this week that you might have missed!
We’re HOPPIN’ into the New Year, my friends…because Park Hopping returns to the Walt Disney World theme parks as of today!

Walt Disney World Monorail in EPCOT
Park Hopping is the option to visit more than one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks per day. The program was suspended upon the initial reopening of the Walt Disney World parks in the summer of 2020. But now, guests who have purchased valid park tickets that include Park Hopper benefits can start their day in, say, Magic Kingdom, then HOP to EPCOT (or Hollywood Studios! Or Disney’s Animal Kingdom!) later in the day! [Read more…]
