While SAG-AFTRA fought for better working conditions and better pay for actors, the movie studios struggled to continue producing movies. Several studios had long lists of projected movies to be released in 2023, but not all of them were able to be finished and released. As most of us know, Disney was affected by the strike in this way as many actors could not start or complete movies this year. The company also struggled with getting viewers to the theaters. Seeing new Disney and Pixar films in theaters is something we personally love to do. It’s just a different experience than sitting on your couch at home! Three very popular Pixar films didn’t get a chance to be released in theaters when they first came out, but now they’re getting their chance at the spotlight!
2024 is almost upon us, and we know we have so much to look forward to in Disneyland Resort.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure coming soon and Fantasmic! returning are only two of the exciting offerings slated for 2024. However, now we know two new entertainment offerings are coming to Disneyland, too!
We’re just going to say it. We have a love/hate relationship with Pixar.

We love the movies and animation style SO MUCH. But… why do the storylines have to rip our hearts to shreds EVERY. SINGLE. TIME?! We happily watch them all, anyway, though. We’ve been looking forward to Pixar’s VERY FIRST streaming series, Win or Lose, that was supposed to debut on Disney+ in December 2023. Well, if you were also looking forward to the series, we have bad news.
Inside Out 2 — The Disney x Pixar sequel to Inside Out — doesn’t come out until June 14th, 2024, but it’s already made Disney HISTORY!

The entertainment industry is a bit chaotic right now. Earlier this year, the Writers Guild of America (WGA) ended a 148-day strike that has resulted in several big movie and TV project delays.

However, the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) strike is still ongoing, and that’s also caused some projects to get delayed. Well, now, two BIG Disney movies are getting pushed back by at least a year.

Elemental in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
That means we were SO excited when Elemental released in theaters. We bought those AWESOME Elemental Ears. We ate some very cool (and hot) Elemental-themed snacks. We even checked out the new Elemental Happy Meal Toys (hey, we’re adults, and we can do what we want!). Although the movie didn’t seem to be doing great at the box office early on, it’s taking the global box office by storm.
