Is Disney Springs THE place to be these days in Disney World?! Between giant cookies, humongous donuts, tons of shops, awesome entertainment, and all kinds of new things to see and try, there’s certainly plenty to enjoy here — and all without a park ticket!

As if all of that wasn’t reason enough to stop by Disney Springs, a NEW ice cream shop is about to open in Disney World, and we were lucky enough to get a SNEAK PEEK!
You know the old saying, “I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!“? Well, we’re not sure whose idea it was to scream about ice cream — seems a little extreme, doesn’t it? Of course, we, too are pretty passionate about ice cream, especially Salt & Straw ice cream. Now, it’s our turn to talk (in an appropriate volume) about the latest ice cream flavors to arrive in Downtown Disney.

Before we get into it, for our friends on the east coast, we’ve got good news! Salt & Straw is opening a location in Disney Springs, and it’s coming very soon! But while we wait for Disney Springs to get it together, let’s check out the seasonal flavors at Salt & Straw in Disneyland.

Ice Cream in Disneyland!
One of the best remedies to a hot Disney day is ice cream. Of course, you can get it Mickey-shaped in the parks, but sometimes we need to broaden our horizons. There’s a whole world of ice cream out there, and we can start at Salt and Straw. This Downtown Disney ice cream shop (which is getting a Disney Springs location later this year) serves up super unique ice cream creations, including bread flavor, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson holiday goodies. We’ve been gearing up for this spooky holiday for a while now by attending Boo Bash at Disney World and Oogie Boogie Bash at Disneyland, finding the best trick-or-treat spots, and trying all of the Halloween-themed treats around the Disney parks! Well, the day is almost here and we’ve just found a deal that involves FREE ICE CREAM (need we say more?).
Disney World is getting back to “normal” again in many ways, and we’ve seen a bunch of restaurants reopen lately!

Not only are plenty of popular restaurants reopening like ‘Ohana and Tusker House character dining, but there are also some new ones coming to Disney World! We’ve already seen a brand new gelato stand in EPCOT, and we have an opening date for the new creperie, but now one ice cream company will be opening up a NEW location in Disney World!
