We hope so, because Santa Claus is watching! He’s making his list, checking it twice, and preparing for the big event — Christmas. But he’s not the only one getting ready for Christmas…Disney World is too! Of course, they’re gearing up for the upcoming Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays. But that’s not all — they also have a year-round offering that prepares guests for Christmas!
Yes, we’re celebrating the holidays in June. Don’t ask questions, just go with it. 😂
It’s the Christmas season! (Sort of)
Disney is celebrating Halfway to the Holidays this week, which means we’re about 6 months away from this year’s holiday season! Some of the celebrations include themed treats in the parks and BIG announcements about what’s coming to Disney World in November and December this year. We’ve already learned that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is returning! You can see giant gingerbread houses, awesome decorations, and even Santa Claus! There are fun ride overlays to enjoy, an After Hours event to party at, and a ton of delicious foods to try. It’s an exciting time for sure, and if you’re going to be in the Most Magical Place on Earth on the actual day of Christmas, you need to be prepared! In Animal Kingdom, you’ll find Santa on a boat. In Hollywood Studios, Santa appears in a special motorcade. You can also spot him during Very Merriest After Hours in Magic Kingdom, and Santa will soon arrive in EPCOT. But, what if you don’t have a park ticket? Well, you could still see Santa if you follow some special steps!

In addition to all the festive decor in the parks, Festival of Holidays has debuted in Disney California Adventure (DCA), and while you’re making your way around DCA and trying all the new holiday foods, you can stop and meet Santa Claus himself!
The holidays are in full swing at Disney World means over-the-top decorations, plenty of new merchandise, and delicious festive treats.

But did you know that you don’t even need a park ticket to enjoy the festivities? Disney Springs is the shopping center inside Disney World, and it’s got tons of gift shops, dining, and even some attractions. For the holiday season, you can find decorations, themed treats, and the popular Christmas Tree Stroll here. But that’s not all — you don’t want to miss the most Christmas-y event of the year at Disney Springs!

Holiday Decorations
After all these Mickey pumpkins and spooky decorations, we’ll see a quick shift to Christmas trees and candy canes! Disney World will be all decked out and host Disney Very Merriest After Hours event in Magic Kingdom throughout the season, but what about Disneyland Resort? We haven’t seen a Christmas tree or snow on Main Street, U.S.A. over in Disney’s first theme park since the 2019 holiday season due to the closures for COVID-19. But now, we have some important news for you!
In Disneyland Resort, Downtown Disney is home to quite a few restaurants, shops, and more, and Santa Claus has even visited for a special event!

Disneyland has been reopening quite a few restaurants and special spots lately, including the Napa Rose Princess Breakfast Adventures. Today another Downtown Disney restaurant announced the return of a fan-favorite holiday breakfast with the big guy himself, and tickets are available now!
