If you’re like me, then this is the absolute BEST time of year to be in the Disney World parks. Why? IT’S HOLLY JOLLY SEASON!
The holidays are underway!
That’s right, Disney World is getting into the holiday and Christmas spirit! We’ve seen seasonal merchandise out on the shelves, started to notice red and green snacks pop up around the resort, and now, the parks are getting decorated from top to bottom. This year, there’s even a little extra holiday magic in Magic Kingdom!
We’ll be knee-deep in holiday festivities with Disney World’s holiday season soon, and y’all, we are SO ready.

We’re ready for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights, and we’re ready for all the holiday snacks (of course!). However, we’re also ready to see all the gooooorgeous holiday decor in the parks and at Disney Springs. Speaking of Disney Springs, one of our favorite FREE activities is to walk around the Christmas Tree Stroll. Well, we’ve got some good news about that: the Christmas Tree Stroll is returning this year.
Something NEW has arrived in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Christmas Trees have arrived in Hollywood Studios!
The first Christmas decorations have arrived in the park, and we are starting to feel the Christmas spirit. We know what you might be thinking: but it is only October! Although it may seem early, Disney’s quick turnaround from Halloween to Christmas often leads to decorations being put up early, helping to alleviate some of the pressure during the transition.
Ah, the magic of Disney World at Christmastime. Main Street, U.S.A. has snow fluttering down as lights are twinkling all around. You won’t miss the massive Christmas tree right in front of Magic Kingdom, and everything feels 10x more special than it normally does.

To make the most of the magic, you need to plan early so you know where to stay, what to eat, and how to spend your time. 2025 Christmas is only three months away, but really, you should already be looking forward to 2026. Why do we need to plan so early? Let’s talk about it!

We’ve seen bits and pieces of decor pop up here and there, but it’s not officially the holiday season in this park until one very important decoration goes up. Well, friends, we’re happy to report that the time has finally come — come check it out with us!

We saw the first holiday decorations arrive in Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT before Halloween even happened, and then on November 1st, it was ON in Magic Kingdom. Shortly after, the Christmas tree arrived in Magic Kingdom…and now we’ve got our second big Christmas tree of the season!
We’re just ONE day away from Christmas, and you can feel the holiday magic in Disney World!
