When browsing the recently released menus for the upcoming EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, we couldn’t help but notice that a particular snack looked oddly familiar — like we had seen it somewhere else around Disney World before. And then it hit us like a ton of bricks!
There are so many restaurants to choose from when trying to decide where you should eat in Disney World.
Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Your 60-day Advance Dining reservation window is about to come up, and you panic – you do not know where to dine! Don’t worry! That is where DFB is here to help you out! Disney World will continue to see closures this coming week.
Magic Kingdom
We’ve been keeping tabs on several closures around Disney World for a while now. While nothing new will close this week, several attractions, restaurants, and an entire water park will be closed the week of August 10th through August 17th. If you’re headed to the parks, be aware that a few rides, shows, and restaurants will not be open and operating.
Disney World is full of magic!
EPCOT
When you step into a park, you are immediately surrounded by wonder and delight. Disney has designed the parks so you only see the magic and as little as possible of anything else. You only see the themed facades of rides, not the back, industrial parts. You never see a character behind the scenes. And everything in the park looks as close to perfect as they can possibly make it so you can truly feel the magic of it all. But we’re going to apologize in advance, because we recently learned something that ruined us, and now we have to share it with you.
Disney World restaurants are changing ALL the time.
EPCOT’s France Pavilion
New restaurants open, old restaurants close, and restaurants often get updated menus. We tend to track any and all changes when it comes to Disney World food. Now, this is the time of the year when we start seeing price increases affect nearly ALL Disney World restaurants, and it seems like it’s beginning now with two VERY popular dining spots in the France Pavili0n in EPCOT.
Last week we shared that a Disney World hotel refurbishment would be ending.
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
Unfortunately, not all refurbishments go as planned. Occasionally, Disney has to make adjustments to their timelines and that’s what we’ve seen for one food court at a popular Value resort. However, this restaurant is not the only refurbishment that will affect your Disney World trip the week of August 3rd through August 10th.
As you probably know, Disney World food is very important to us.
PB & J Croissant at Everything Pop Food Court
We keep track of attraction closures happening all around Disney World, but when we hear about a restaurant getting a refurbishment, our ears quickly perk up. That’s why this food court news was important to us! Some of our favorite snacks can be found at two Disney World hotel food courts that are getting some work done. Luckily, one will be back to full capacity this week while another will begin some changes.
When you’re feeling festive in EPCOT, sometimes you just want to indulge in a few sweet treats that transport your mind into another country and out of Disney World for just a few minutes.

We’ve tasted some phenomenal treats around Disney World lately including a chocolate choux and flavored ice cream cones, but neither of those options was quite as fancy as what we had a craving for today!
Disney World attractions temporarily close all the time.
Magic Kingdom
Disney closes rides and attractions for refurbishment all the time. There are periods when we’ll see several rides closed at a time and other times when only one or two rides are closed. We love to see when the number of rides closed in a week is low, which is what is great about this week! While a few restaurants and other attractions will be closed for refurbishment this week, only two rides are closed, for now!
