Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is located closest to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, and therefore is closest to Magic Kingdom park. We’ve been keeping a close eye on construction for the past few months, but now it’s finally time to start planning our stay.
The weekend will be here before you know it, and if you don’t have any big plans, it might be a great time to catch up on your reading list. But if you need some ideas of what to add to that reading list…well, we’ve got you covered.

It’s honestly hard keeping up with all the changes happening in Disney World right now, between new lands, new rides, updated rides, new hotels, hotel updates, and more! Well, even EPCOT seems to be getting in on the changes, which will include that Spaceship Earth upgrade we’ve been waiting for FOREVER. But something else is changing in EPCOT, too, and it makes us a little sad.

In the Mexico Pavilion, there’s a store selling Oaxacan Wood Carvings, and these wood carvings are some of the most unique souvenirs you can get in EPCOT. However, we just learned that the Oaxacan Wood Carvings store will be closing soon.

The 2026 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is coming back with a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Two Course Challenge. Each race will have exclusive character meet-and-greets, unique photo opportunities, and those gorgeous shiny medals that you’ll get to take home for finishing the race. Speaking of, Disney just gave us a sneak peek of the medals, so let’s check them out!
