Fireworks for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is one of Disney World’s biggest holiday events, and we usually look forward to it all year. But heading into the 2025 season, we’re feeling a little more anxious than usual. Between rising prices, minimal updates to the experience, and major closures across Magic Kingdom, this year’s party is shaping up to be more frustrating than festive. Let’s break down exactly why we’re worried about MVMCP this time around.
There might be no one more excited for Monsters, Inc. to come to Hollywood Studios than me. It’s been one of my favorite Pixar movies for a long time, and seeing it come to life and walking down the streets of Monstropolis is a dream come true.

While prices going up is normal, the company is taking a different approach than in the previous 6 years that I’ve covered Disney’s theme parks. Instead of raising prices across the board, Disney is further taking advantage of the dynamic pricing concept.
We’ve got excellent news for you Disney World Annual Passholders out there (and as a passholder myself, I couldn’t be more excited)!
Disney World Annual Pass
Disney had updated its Park Pass Reservation rules for Annual Passholders ahead of the debut of the new Disney Starlight Parade, requiring them to have a theme park reservation for Magic Kingdom at any time of day (including after 2 PM when it usually lifts). But, Disney has officially removed that requirement!
Listen, I don’t need an excuse to go to the France Pavilion in EPCOT, but hey, now I have another reason to share my love for the World Showcase.

If you’ve never eaten at Chefs de France, let me turn you onto a spectacular restaurant where I’ve gone for special occasions and have always left impressed. Get ready to book that early reservation because you won’t want to miss their breakfast.
Let me start by saying: this thing came out on a literal boat.
Welcome to EPCOT!
No exaggeration. We sat down for what we thought would be a casual sushi meal at Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya in EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion — and instead got hit with what can only be described as a full-blown sushi event. The $300 Fune (which, yes, means “boat”) was loaded, borderline ridiculous, and 100% one of the most over-the-top things we’ve eaten in EPCOT. Was it worth it? Absolutely — if you do it right.
Who’s ready for some fantastic snack news?! The Fantastic Four: First Steps has officially been released in theaters, and Disney is celebrating!
