Welcome back, world travelers! We’re here with another What’s New at Animal Kingdom!
We’ve got some food and merch updates for ya, so let’s dive right on in!
The Animal Kingdom Tasting Sampler — which made its limited-time debut last winter — is returning for a third run this winter!
The Tasting Sampler — which goes on sale TOMORROW — costs $50 and includes two digital value cards: one $50 card that can be used at over 40 outdoor food and beverage locations throughout the park (and does not expire), and a bonus $10 card that can be used at the following quick-service restaurants after 4 PM from December 22, 2019 through January 4, 2020: Restaurantosaurus, Pizzafari, Flame Tree Barbecue, and Satu’li Canteen.
Ahh, cheese: basically one of our favorite food groups here at DFB.
If you’re as obsessed as we are (and we are pretty passionate), you’ll want to know EXACTLY where you can find the best cheese in Disney, from killer mac to cream cheese frosting excellence and more! And, we’ve got the greatest list for you, friends… .
It’s all in the name at Flame Tree Barbecue… at least, that’s how it seems at first.
You often smell the tempting fragrance of smoky barbecue on Discovery Island as it wafts from Flame Tree, drawing you in to enjoy some St. Louis Ribs, smoked chicken, or pulled pork (either in a sandwich or on top of some baked Mac and Cheese or French Fries!). But today, we’re talking about one of the non-BBQ items on the menu.
In fact, we’re at Flame Tree for a sweet treat: the Salted Caramel Apple Crisp Cupcake. [Read more…]
From Dole Whips and Mickey Pretzels to Peter Pan Floats, Disney World is home to some iconic and delicious snacks. BUT, not all snacks are created equally (or with equal price tags)!
If you’ve got the Disney Dining Plan for your upcoming trip to Disney World, you’ll absolutely want to get the biggest and best value for your snack credits in order to make your Dining Plan worth it.
If you’ve purchased (or acquired free!) the Disney Dining Plan for your next Walt Disney World vacation, you’re probably wondering how to maximize the Plan, getting the best and most satisfying food for your DDP dollar. The value of a Quick Service meal includes the cost, of course, but also the quality of the food and other variables like how it can save you credits, cash, time, or stress. We take all of those bits into consideration when we bring you our recommendations for DDP Quick Service values.
We stopped by Animal Kingdom this week to round up all the latest news for you! We found lots of menu updates and changes and some great new merchandise! So, let’s get to it…
If you’re looking for that adorable Simba Cupcake while you’re in Animal Kingdom, your best bet is to head to Pizzafari since it is no longer in the Creature Comforts bakery case. We did spot the Caramel Mocha and the Lotus Blossom cupcake in the lineup though!
Here at the DFB, we’re all about taking advantage of money-saving opportunities whenever possible, but we also love snacks, soooo… We’ve combined these two loves into one super tip that’s straight from the 2019 DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining!
That’s right: Snacks that are filling enough to be meals — which means saving some money or Disney Dining Plan credits! A Walt Disney World vacation budget often revolves around food: How much do we want to spend on meals each day? What’s the most we want to spend on snacks? Are we going to buy souvenir goodies to bring home?
If you’re on the DDP, you still have planning to do and questions to ask: If we want to try a Signature meal, how do we conserve entitlements to be sure we can cover it? If we’re on a Quick Service DDP, how can we stretch those credits to cover more meals?
A trip to the Animal Kingdom is always wild for us as we find so many updates each week! Find out what we found in new menu items, seasonal treats, and merchandise this week!
The first thing we found were updated ticket prices at the ticket windows. 🙁
Hey Guys! We’re back with another DFB Video today, and we’re getting down to the serious business of talking about 15 Disney quick service spots that are better than more expensive table service restaurants!
If you’re looking to spend less money for better food at Disney World, we can help!
There are several Disney World fast food restaurants that are better eats than many higher-priced, table service restaurants…and we’re going to tell you where to find them! [Read more…]
