UPDATED November 10, 2025
Okay, can we tell you how EXCITED we are about 2025 in Disney World? So much new stuff is coming throughout the year and we have been — and will continue to be — thrilled to welcome all of it.
Of course, we’ve got the traditional things we always look forward to like all the EPCOT Festivals (yes, EPCOT Festival of the Arts is a fave). We also love that time around Easter when we get to see the cool Easter Egg displays at the hotels. Then there’s Halloween and the holiday season — SO much to look forward to. However, there are some MAJOR changes happening around Disney World throughout 2025 that we’re also stoked about, so let’s chat about them!
One thing we love about visiting Disney World is that there’s free transportation that takes us pretty much everywhere at the resort.
There are buses, boats, the Skyliner, and OF COURSE, the Monorail. Now, we love taking the Monorail as it’s so convenient if you’re staying in the Magic Kingdom area, but we do think that this classic Disney transportation could use a few updates, so hear us out.
If you are heading to Disney World, you need to make sure you have the My Disney Experience app downloaded on your phone.
The My Disney Experience app is home to a wealth of information and features that are essential for your Disney World vacation!
From time to time, we see Disney rides get updates!
Many times, rides will close for refurbishment and just get general touch-ups and technology updates, but sometimes Disney takes that chance to change some scenes. (We saw this happen with rides like Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean in the past!) Recently, Disney World made some interesting modifications to its version of Peter Pan’s Flight, and now it looks like that change will come to the West Coast as well.
Disney World is in a constant state of change, and that means that construction is inevitable. While sometimes inconvenient, construction usually leads to even better experiences once it is done.
A beloved Disney World hotel is adding construction walls to its decor beginning today and we headed over to check out what the construction looks like!
There won’t be any whip-cracking or hat-saving over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios today.
If you are in Hollywood Studios today, we have some bad news about one of the entertainment options.
We know it’s a huge bummer when a ride in Disney World is closed for updates or maintenance, especially if it’s one of your favorite rides.
However, this is how Disney maintains all the rides in the park, and that means we have to deal with rides being closed from time to time. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been closed since January, with a reopening timeline of summer 2024, and most recently, with indications that the coaster would reopen on July 27th. However, it looks like the ride will reopen WELL before that time!
Disney World dropped a lot of news on us this past week!
This past week we got lots of information about the holidays at Disney World during Halfway to the Holidays, and we also got information about new changes coming to Disney World’s paid skip-the-line service. It feels like we finally just got Genie+ down after saying goodbye to the FastPass+ system, but now that is all about to change again on July 24th.
Changes are coming! And big ones at that. Disney World recently announced some HUGE changes to their skip-the-line service, and we have all the details.
Just when we felt like we might have been getting the hang of Genie+, Disney World goes and changes things up again. While there are a few similarities to the current Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane services, the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass are also introducing a lot of changes.
