Yes, we know WHAT’S coming — a new Villains Land and Cars-themed Land in Magic Kingdom, Muppets Courtyard is becoming Monsters, Inc. Land in Hollywood Studios, and Tropical Americas aka Pueblo Esperanza is taking over Dinoland U.S.A. in Animal Kingdom — but what will all of this construction actually look like in the parks? It was announced that Disney World would be getting eight new rides, which is super exciting, but in order to enjoy these rides, we have to deal with construction. You can expect to see construction in all four parks starting in 2025. Not only does construction mean walls around the parks, but it also means that we can expect lengthy closures, like Big Thunder Mountain’s year-long closure in Magic Kingdom.
Man, Disney sure loves to keep us on our toes especially when it comes to the Magic Kingdom.

As you know, earlier this year Disney rocked our worlds with the announcement of the new Villains land coming to Magic Kingdom, and now they’ve just shared with us which of the biggest and baddest villains are going to call the new land home. But amidst all the fanfare over the roster of baddies that’ll be there, there’s one very notable name missing, so you know we’ve gotta talk about it!

We’ve got construction beginning on the Villains land and Cars-themed land coming to Magic Kingdom, construction on a Monsters Inc. land beginning in Hollywood Studios, an updated Test Track ride with a new theme coming to EPCOT, and construction begins to turn DinoLand U.S.A. into Tropical Americas. And that’s not even all of it! There is an interesting trend though that we’re noticing with some of these announcements — why have no restaurants been announced but two new lounges are on their way?
It is crazy to think that 2024 is coming to an end, which means it is time to start planning your trip to Disney World in 2025.

Disney made so many announcements in 2024 about the future of Disney World and all that is to come, and now 2025 is almost here, which means we are about to start seeing those changes reflected in the parks and resorts. HUGE changes are coming to Disney World!

We are still not over all the exciting announcements that came from D23 this past August. Disney World is about to get so many new additions across all four parks. Hollywood Studios will be home to an all-new Monsters Inc.-inspired land. And while it was not announced at D23, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy will close to make way for a new Disney Villains stage show. EPCOT will have an all-new Spaceship Earth-themed lounge as well as Test Track 3.0. Animal Kingdom is getting a massive overhaul as DinoLand U.S.A. will close to make way for a Tropical Americas-themed land named Pueblo Esperanza, which will include three new rides! Plus, the Tree of Life will get a brand new show called Zootopia: Better Zoogether! Magic Kingdom is also going to see quite a few changes, but could there be even more on the horizon?
