Since then, his life has been honored in many ways, and Chadwick is about to be honored once again in a big way.

Just when we thought that we were getting the hang of things and had a good system going with when to purchase Genie+ and what rides to use it for, Disney went and announced that it would be changing. At first, we thought we had found a HUGE problem with the change, but we actually think it might be a solution after all.

The 2023 Festival is set to debut on July 27th and while we are still waiting on menus for the food booths, there is a lot to get excited about. Food and Wine booths have already started popping up in EPCOT (yes, BEFORE the end of the Flower and Garden Festival!) and now another sign of Food & Wine is here very early!
One of our favorite parts about Main Street, U.S.A., is that it truly does have a Small Town, U.S.A., feel to it. After all, it WAS modeled after Walt Disney’s hometown of Marceline, Missouri.

With old-fashioned-looking shops and confectionery, a train station, and a hotdog and ice cream shop on the corners, it truly has that vintage American feel. There’s one time of year that Main Street, U.S.A., feels even more like it came straight from a scene in an old movie — the 4th of July!

Haunted Mansion in Disney World
Disney’s Haunted Mansion movie releases on July 28th, and we’re spiffing up our Doom Buggies to get ready to see the spookiest movie OF THE YEAR. The film also has an all-star cast as well as some spooky nods to the Disney ride it takes its inspiration from. But you need to drag your bodies to your computers because tickets for the Haunted Mansion movie are available RIGHT NOW.
Oh, Genie+. One moment we’re watching the price skyrocket; the next, we’re celebrating a lower cost for Disney’s service to skip the standby lines. We get it. There have been a lot of changes to Genie+ since it was first introduced. Some changes are surprisingly good, while others are…not so great.
Genie+
One of the latest changes to hit Disney’s Genie+ service is a new multi-park option for guests hoping to use Genie+ in multiple parks on the same day. In the past, the price to use Genie+ was the same for all four parks, but now the cost of Genie+ may vary from park to park, or guests can buy the new multi-park option to use Genie+ in multiple parks. The change went live on June 27th, but now let’s check to see how things are looking after the big debut.
Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
Magic Kingdom
We saw unbelievably HUGE crowds during Spring Break, but we haven’t really seen a lot of summer crowds over the last couple of weeks. Well, those days are long gone because when we arrived at Disney World this morning, the summer crowds SHOWED UP ahead of the Fourth of July holiday. Yep, y’all, it’s busy in Disney World right now.
Disney has been hit with countless lawsuits in its day, and right now is certainly one of those times.
Cinderella Castle
Between the Reedy Creek lawsuits, Annual Passholder and Magic Key lawsuits, and more, The Walt Disney Company’s legal department is probably not having a great time right now. In late 2022, one of Disney’s own investors filed a suit arguing that Disney created “‘far-reaching’ financial risks for itself by opposing a Florida law limiting instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity in elementary schools.” And now, we have an update on that suit.
