A new Disney Vacation Club Resort hotel will open in Disney World in 2027: Disney Lakeshore Lodge!

We’ve been keeping a close eye on the progress at this new Deluxe hotel and can’t wait for it to officially open. Lakeshore Lodge will be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.” Thanks to newly released photos, we now have a new aerial view of how things are progressing.

Construction is ramping up on Disney’s newest hotel.

Back in 2018, Disney announced that a new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property was coming to Walt Disney World. The new hotel, to be built on the long-abandoned remains of the resort’s first water park River Country – – was to be called Reflections: A Lakeside Lodge. However, with the onset of the worldwide pandemic, all work on the project stalled, and Disney dropped all mentions of it.

When Disney announces new projects and changes, it usually comes with a mix of opinions, no matter what the project is, and this is especially true when it comes to resort renovations and builds.
There is A LOT of construction going on at Disney World. Construction walls are up by Astro Orbiter, a portion of DinoLand is now closed as work begins on Pueblo Esperanza, and Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy is closed and blocked off as Disney prepares to debut Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After.

And that is only the tip of the iceberg! There is even more construction going on at the parks, as well as numerous hotels at Disney World. You will even spot construction going on for a brand-new Disney World hotel.
There is always something changing in Disney World. Whether it be the closure of attractions such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or the opening of the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, it is never a dull day at Disney World.
