So when we noticed a new beer over at the China Booth, we thought, “Hey, let’s try that!”
When Disney World reopened, many of its bars remained closed due to a Florida ban on establishments that made 50% or more of their sales on alcohol.

Florida recently lifted that ban, allowing bars to reopen at 50% capacity, as well as allowing them to serve glasses of alcohol and beer. And now we’re starting to see some Disney World bars reopening, too!
In light of recent events, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation has announced a statewide ban of on-premises alcohol consumption at bars, effective immediately.
Disney Springs
Since we’re currently at Disney Springs, we’ve been able to speak with a few Cast Members to see what implications this order has on Disney World.
When menus were released by Disney World earlier this month for its Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge dining locations, there was one notable absence: alcoholic beverages. Love it or hate it, Walt Disney World restaurants typically serve adult beverages, and we expected to see some appear on the World’s Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo and Ronto Roasters menus.

And now, with under a month left until the 14-acre land opens to the public, online menus have been updated for both eateries. Now two specialty alcoholic drinks have been added for both Docking Bay and Ronto Roasters.

from France! Epcot’s France pavilion, that is. This is where where we spotted a new refreshing-sounding beverage at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie this week that we just had to try now that the Florida summer heat is most definitely upon us.

It was HUGE NEWS when it was announced that four Table Service restaurants in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom would start serving alcoholic beverages in late December 2016.

Why? Because — with the exception of Dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant which opened in late 2012 — Magic Kingdom had always been a dry park, in keeping tradition with Walt Disney’s wishes for his original park, Disneyland.
And that’s why it remains relatively big news today that Crystal Palace and The Plaza Restaurant in Magic Kingdom have both just begun serving alcohol as well, with a selection of beer, wine, and a specialty cocktail at each location.
With the 2018 Disney Dining Plan including alcoholic and specialty non-alcoholic beverages, it’s more difficult than ever to figure out where to go to make the most of your DDP.
Last month, we told you about the non-alcoholic specialty drinks that are available with the 2018 Disney Dining Plan — a post that will keep evolving as we learn more about what does and does not count as a beverage on the DDP. The internet is buzzing with a new rumor that a VERY significant change might be in the works for the 2018 Disney Dining Plan. Will alcoholic beverages be included with Dining Plan meal credits?

According to the British Disney fan site, The Dibb, “Guests will now [Editor’s Note: as of January 1, 2018] be able to enjoy a choice of either one speciality non-alcoholic or alcoholic* (over 21s only) beverage to accompany each meal.”
If this is correct, those who do not imbibe — due either to age or preference — would be eligible to receive a single serving specialty drink such as an Artisanal Milkshake, Fresh Smoothie, Premium Hot Chocolate, or Soda, Coffee, or Tea.
