Today is officially the United States Presidential Inauguration Day, which means a long-standing tradition is taking place in Magic Kingdom.
Hall of Presidents
The Hall of Presidents is a unique and historic attraction located in Liberty Square. It features every single U.S. president in audio-animatronic form. So, it traditionally closes for refurbishment each time a new president is elected.
Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is a CLASSIC attraction at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, straight out of the 1964 New York World’s Fair!

And though the attraction, especially its final scene, have gotten some updates and upgrades over the years, from time to time, this attraction shows its age.
Although Tokyo Disneyland’s “The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast” attraction was initially set to open in April, the global health crisis shut down the theme parks and delayed construction on the ride.

However, now that Tokyo Disneyland has reopened, the attraction is set to open its doors on September 28th.

Imagineers have been doing a lot of work on tech for the parks and a LOT of that has to do with robotics. Disney is at the forefront of animatronic and entertainment robotics engineering, so they come up with crazy new inventions ALL THE TIME. Recently, we’ve spotted a realistic robot handshake and a patent for an autonomous park-roaming robot. Today, we spotted a NEW patent and this one focuses on a robot’s…skin? You read that right! Take a look!

We’re always curious about what’s in the cards when it comes to Disney innovations. With the crazy technology we’ve spotted them working on and the intricate advancements for Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Disney’s set the bar high for future tech pretty.
