Now that Disney World is reopening July 11th and July 15th and Disneyland has a proposed reopening date, both resorts have stated they will be utilizing a new reservation system which will require all guests — including Annual Passholders — obtain a reservation to enter a park in advance of their visit.
We’ve been receiving a TON of questions about how this new reservation system will affect Annual Passholders since Disney hasn’t released very much info on the subject yet!
Disneyland Resort has just announced a proposed reopening date.
If the reopening proposal is approved by the state and local governments, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will reopen on July 17th. Disney World will also begin their park reopening around this time — Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom will reopen on July 11th, with Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios following on July 15th.

Shanghai Disneyland reopened on May 11th. And within the first few weeks of reopening, a few changes have already taken place for guests visiting the park.
For starters, though the park reopened with a limited amount of attractions for guests, several additional experiences are now in operation. And as of this week, guests who had previously purchased General Admission tickets are now able to make a required reservation to visit. Shanghai Disneyland reopened to guests on May 11th. In order to limit guest capacity as part of the new health and safety measures, guests have been required to purchase dated admission tickets ahead of their visit to enter the park while Annual Passholders have been required to make a reservation.
To this point, previously purchased General Admission tickets have not been accepted. However, an update to the Disneyland Shanghai website advises guests that — starting today, June 1st, guests with General Admission tickets will be able to make a reservation to visit the park for the dates of June 3rd through June 7th.
