Yes, you heard that right. Our server lit our meal on fire!
We love sipping wine, snacking on appetizers, and sitting by the campfire. We love it even more when that fire is on our dish in front of us!
Bacon hanging from a wire, a S’mores Old Fashioned, 5 different kinds of popcorn, and…bone marrow?
Over at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, the Territory Lounge just got a BIG menu overhaul. Disney announced several new snacks and drinks that arrived here recently, and you know we had to try them out ASAP. Come with us to see which of the new items are worth a trip during your next Disney World vacation! [Read more…]
Disney Springs is home to many incredible restaurants, and you probably haven’t tried all of them.
Wine Bar George is one of the most popular restaurants in Disney Springs, frequented by both locals AND tourists. In fact, it’s gotten so popular that it can be downright hard to get a reservation at times! Jaleo, a lesser-known Disney Springs restaurant focused on Spanish tapas, actually checks a lot of the same boxes though! While both restaurants sound quite different, they have a number of things in common, and if you’re a Wine Bar George fan in the mood to be a little more adventurous, here’s why you might also enjoy Jaleo.
There is certainly NO shortage of places to eat at Disney World. 400 restaurants. 400!!
Disney World
But of all the quick service spots, grab-and-go food items, and table service restaurants, Wine Bar George is one of our FAVORITE places to eat, not just at Disney Springs but in ALL of Walt Disney World! And…interestingly, that’s something that just about everybody agrees with. That NEVER happens. So here’s why this restaurant seems to be universally perceived as practically perfect!
If you’re heading to Disney World with your fabulous Disney squad, you’re going to want to share some good eats — and we’re talking ultimate foods! And you KNOW that we at DFB know all about THAT!
Beaches & Cream‘s Kitchen Sink is the ULTIMATE ultimate food to share with your Disney squad. This massive sink-bowl is packed with scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream, and mint chocolate chip ice cream and then topped with every ice cream topping in the restaurant (and a full can of whipped cream!). Yeah, it’s amazing.
The menu says the Kitchen Sink serves four — but if you’re with your squad of more than four, we’re pretty sure you’ll all feel satisfied after this one. [Read more…]
There are plenty of ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day in Walt Disney World, including lots of options in Disney Springs. But if you or your beloved enjoy fine wine and fine dining — and combinations thereof! — consider making an Advance Dining Reservation to savor the special menu at Wine Bar George!
This master sommelier-helmed spot offers an elegant dining experience, and the Valentine’s Day menu — available from February 14-16 — is a special chance to try eclectic food, specially curated wines, and lots more. [Read more…]
It’s time to put on your hula skirt (or at least your stretchy pants!) and surf on into the newly reopened Tangaroa Terrace! This quick service spot located at the Disneyland Hotel has a fresh new look — and lots of tasty eats (including Dole Whip!) on the also refreshed menu!
The lunch and dinner menu here has retained some of our old favorites (like Panko-Crusted Long Beans!) and added some newbies. [Read more…]
One of our favorite places to relax and enjoy a few quiet and cool moments is Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom. We recently stopped there and enjoyed the apps and drinks. This week we noticed the menu has seen some updates yet again.
We love Nomad Lounge’s “riverfront” location (it is Tiffins‘ neighbor) and their ever-changing small plates menu. [Read more…]

When Spice Road Table opened its doors in the Morocco Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase way back in 2014, we loved the small plates concept and the stellar location.
But while Spice Road Table has a lot going for it, it’s remained a little less of a crowd favorite than, say, Via Napoli or Rose and Crown. This is probably owing to its slightly more unusual cuisine, which includes dishes that highlight the flavors of the Mediterranean.
The thing is, those dishes are actually really promising! Stand-outs from the Small Plates menu include Fried Calamari and Spicy Garlic Shrimp — two seafood dishes that are really stand-outs for their flavor and execution.
And this is one location where vegetarians (or those who like to incorporate non-meat dishes into their diets!) can get some unique eats (read: not salads!). There are no fewer than four vegetable dishes on the small plates menu, which means there are actual decisions to be made and veggies to be shared!
Join me as we journey on the Spice Road!

is a terrific place to dine if you’re looking for a little Hollywood Flair at Disney’s Hollywood Studios — and the best part is that there’s no ADR required!
That’s right! You can saunter up to Brown Derby Lounge on a whim and experience the understated elegance and tasty menu that so many have lauded in the Brown Derby Restaurant proper.
We’ve enjoyed our visits here, where Margarita and Martini Flights rule and you almost can’t go wrong with the menu of Brown Derby Restaurant-approved eats. And with outdoor seating on Hollywood Boulevard, it’s a great place for people watching!
During a recent visit to the World, I dropped in for a few plates of food — and left having eaten the best thing I ate in my entire visit! I love being surprised by awesome food — even more so when it’s served in such a great location!
