Primo Piatto serves as the resort’s quick service and grab-and-go location offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner! This trattoria serves hearty Italian favorites, which as owners of hearty appetites, we can really appreciate! And guess what, Disney dining plan peeps? Primo Piatto counts as a quick-service meal option for you guys! Now let’s go check it out!
The food scene at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney continues to evolve and impress!
We’ve seen the addition of top-notch gourmet options like Black Tap Craft Burgers and Shakes, Salt & Straw, and now we’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of a new Asian Street Eats dining location in front of the now-shuttered Rainforest Cafe.
Today, Disney has shared the news that Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue will be coming to Epcot this WINTER and released a first look at several menu items.
D-Luxe Burger in Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs is the reigning champ of Mobile Order secret menu items, and the hits just keep on coming! We shared our first D-Luxe secret menu item here (plus tips on how to get them for yourself!), and since early-2018, we’ve seen burgers, shakes, and nuggets come and go with some (delicious) regularity.
At present, D-Luxe Burger has eight Mobile Order-only secret menu items (eight!!). [Read more…]
is a modern BBQ joint in Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs. Its proprietors are local celebrities of the food scene in central Florida, but my visits haven’t been universally excellent despite the Pig’s positive reception in Disney springs.
But The Polite Pig is more than just smoked meats. On my recent visit, I went for some of the Market Sides and Shareables (a/k/a appetizers). [Read more…]
is a counter service location in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
And a new style of fast-casual dinner service has just made its debut at this location.
Though not required at the moment (and we’ll talk about this in greater detail later), guests can now make Advance Dining Reservations to book their dinner at ABC Commissary. However, the spot has retained its Quick Service status (much like breakfast and lunch at Be our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom, which also accepts reservations for these Quick Service meals).
So we thought we’d stop by to check out the “new” meal and explore the ins-and-outs of ABC Commissary’s fast-casual dinner.
This fast-casual counter service restaurant located immediately to the left of the Millennium Falcon entrance is located in a working hangar bay. [Read more…]
is Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge’s quick service restaurant. Like the rest of this new land — officially open TODAY at Disneyland Park!! — Docking Bay is highly themed. The restaurant is recognizable for the multi-transport shuttle on its roof, so if you’re looking for some galactic eats, head toward the shuttle!
And if you’re looking for some Star Wars Easter eggs, look up! [Read more…]
Disneyland Park’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens in a matter of days
, and last evening, Disneyland President Josh D’Amaro shared a picture on his Instagram that is blowing. our. minds. It’s a sea of “inhabitants of Batuu” gathered for a cast member rally in Galaxy’s Edge, and it’s EPIC!
In the image we see hundreds of cast members in costumes designed to help them set the stage as Citizens of Batuu. (Click here to see Galaxy’s Edge costumes up close!) In the background: the impressive Millennium Falcon showcased in the land’s first major attraction Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Further back, we spy a delivery shuttle on the top of the land’s fast casual dining spot Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. The skyline of Black Spire Outpost features jagged rock outcroppings, while buildings show the wear-and-tear of galactic life.
Yeah, we want to go to there. 😉
Are you ready to go inside Galaxy’s Edge? Let us know what you’re MOST ready to see or experience! We’ll do our best to get to it all!
opens in Disneyland on May 31 and in Walt Disney World on August 29. In addition to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, lots of new merchandise locations, and plenty of intergalactic immersion, we’re really looking forward to the food (and drinks!). Black Spire Outpost will play host to three new eateries and two new watering holes — you know we’re gonna try ’em all!
Here’s what we’re going to eat (and drink!) FIRST in Galaxy’s Edge!
When Galaxy’s Edge opens, we’re going to need a quick burst of energy to fuel the fun. Enter: Milk Stand. This stand will serve up — you guessed it! — milk (well…kinda)! But since this is the planet Batuu, it’s Blue Milk! And since this is actually Florida, this non-dairy drink will be soft-frozen like a milkshake to keep us cool in the Outpost!
Milk Stand will also serve Green Milk, which Disney says has a refreshing citrus component. [Read more…]
