He remains Executive Chairman of the company until the end of 2021. Iger was the CEO of Disney for 15 years and had major accomplishments like acquiring Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm as well as opening Shanghai Disney Resort in China. Recently, the former CEO visited Disney World, and decided to share some appreciation for the cast members!
Over the past few years, thousands of flights have been getting canceled in the United States sometimes due to COVID-19 cases, weather, staffing shortages, or other issues.
It’s busy at the airport
On Christmas Eve of 2021, we saw over 3,000 flights canceled, and 3 days later, 2,000 more flights were canceled. In 2022, we’ve seen airlines announce that they’ll be cutting thousands of flights and thousands of flights have continued to be canceled, while others have been delayed. A flight cancelation can really throw off your entire travel plans, so, what should you do if your flight to Disney World gets canceled?

We’ve eaten SO MUCH blue dye, y’all, with all the 50th anniversary snacks. Like we can’t even. From blue cupcakes to blue drinks to blue cronuts, we wouldn’t be surprised if our fingers aren’t permanently stained blue. But we’re doing this so you don’t have to, so today, we tried yet another blue snack!
Disney World has seen a lot of price increases lately.
Watch out for those price increases on food menus!
We’ve seen menu prices go up in EPCOT, Disney Springs, and coming to Typhoon Lagoon, the cost of Annual Passes go up, and the new holiday After Hours events are more expensive than the former holiday parties. And now, there is another price increase in Disney World you should be aware of!
It was announced earlier this year that the Disney Magical Express would be discontinued in 2022.
We’ll miss you, Magical Express
This means there will no longer be free transportation between Orlando International Airport at Walt Disney World. We’ve already seen signs for the service disappear at some Disney hotels, and seen one of the buses for a replacement service in Disney World. The service was set to be discontinued on January 1st, 2022, but we just got an update on when the actual last ride will be for the Disney Magical Express.
It’s no secret that things have been very busy at Disney World this holiday season!

Disney World has released a TON of new merchandise for its 50th anniversary this year.
50th anniversary items
We’ve seen several pairs of ears (including some wildly expensive pairs), balloons, bags, and clothing. And, this merchandise has been very popular, often times selling out quickly. On the 50th, the demand for merchandise was so high that a fight actually broke out inside a store! One popular item that we’ve seen a variety of versions of for the 50th is Spirit Jerseys, and there is another new one now in Disney World!
In case you missed it, Disney World is still in the middle of its big 50th anniversary celebration!
Some 50th anniversary items are pretty expensive
And we’ve seen some 50th anniversary souvenirs that are pretty expensive: $100 ornaments, $130 sweatpants, and even $1000 Minnie ears!!! And today, we found yet another pricey souvenir, and we’re still having a little bit of sticker shock.
