Happily Ever After at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

We’re talking about Happily Ever After, which debuted last night. The brand new night time show at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom combines fireworks, lighting effects, lasers, castle projections, and music into one truly spectacular show.

Truth be told, we are a little sad to say goodbye to its predecessor, Wishes. I mean, we all practically grew up with it, right? But this show is fantastic, and you’ve gotta see it!

Not at Magic Kingdom? Well, you’re in luck. We’re bringing you the highlights and our secrets for seeing the show in our latest DFB Video!!

We were there early in the evening as the park began to fill up.

French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese

Tips from the DFB Guide: Disney Character Meal Pros and Cons

We are back with some of our very best kept Disney Dining Secrets. And we want to share them with you!

2017 DFB Guide to WDW Dining Cover March 6 Planning what you’re going to eat and drink at Walt Disney World is no small undertaking. To begin, there are tons of choices. But what if you could make your meal a real multitasker? Say, you could enjoy some terrific eats, and get that shiny new autograph book filled with the names of all of your Disney favorites? Yep, we’re talking Character Meals.

You may think that the character meal experience isn’t for you. But we invite you to take a closer look at these special meals and see for yourself if a Character meal could be right for you.

And if you like what you see here, be sure to check out the brand new, just released 2017 DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining, Second Edition, where we talk character meals and LOTS more! And for a limited time, you can get it for 20% off with code SAVE2017 at checkout! Here we go!

Are Character Meals One-Size-Fits-All? Why Should I Book One?

You may think that if you’re an adult, single, or have older kids, there’s really no reason to engage in that Disney Rite of Passage, the Character Meal. But we think there’s a place for everyone at the character table, and here’s why.

Eating a big breakfast will fill you up -- and cost less than dining big later in the day!

Safari Mickey

It’s Cool In There, People. I’m not talking, like, rad. I mean literally, it’s cool. Like, air-conditioned. And in our opinion, waiting for characters with the a/c cranked up while noshing on delicious food WAY beats standing out in the hot sun any day. [Read more…]

DFB Video: Must-Try Margaritas for Cinco de Mayo in Disney World!

It’s Margarita Time!

La Cava del Tequila, with its stellar selection of tequila and mezcal (and even sotol!), is one of the best places anywhere ever to go for margaritas, or even flights. We’ve enjoyed our fair share of their handcrafted drinks.

Avoid Making These Five BIG Disney Dining Mistakes

The World of Disney Food is BIG. Planning a Disney vacation is serious business, and a big part of that is where, when, and what you’re going to eat. And there are a few Disney dining mistakes you should take care to avoid.

Homecomin' Fried Chicken

Homecomin’ Fried Chicken

Making assumptions, or failing to properly plan for your meals and snacks when you visit Walt Disney World, can make for a less than magical experience. But there’s good news! We know a thing or two about dining in Disney ;-) and we are ready to share what NOT to do!

Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute to Book

If you only take one piece of advice from this list, make it this one. Do not wait until you get to Walt Disney World to plan your dining. In fact, make those advance dining reservations just as soon as you can — at the 180 day mark! This is especially true if you want to experience a super popular Disney restaurant, like dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant.

By booking your restaurants ahead of time, you get to choose from the largest selection of options (the closer you get to your trip, the fewer restaurants will be available), but you’re not locked in. For most Disney World restaurants, you can always cancel reservations or re-arrange your dining up until the day before your ADR.

There are literally hundreds of delicious dishes and tempting snacks to be savored throughout the park. And that makes sense, since World Showcase immerses you into the cultures of eleven different countries.

In one day, you can enjoy pastries from France, sushi from Japan, a jumbo pretzel from Germany, schoolbread from Norway — and so much more!

But then, there’s Future World, too. Home to great little kiosks featuring flavored popcorns as well as one of our favorite counter service spots, Sunshine Seasons, there’s plenty to enjoy there as well.

We all have our favorites, but it’s also fun to check out the NEW stuff! And so today, that’s what we’re doing. Let’s head into Epcot and arrange the day around trying brand new (or in some cases, returning items) in our DFB “Just the New Stuff” Crawl, Epcot Edition!

And if you love this crawl, be sure to check out our DFB Guide + Snacks Bundle, which you can enjoy for an unbelievable 30% off the already discounted price with code BUNDLE17 at DFBStore.com!

Cinnamon French Toast Bread Pudding, Sunshine Seasons

To kick our day off right, we should start with a good breakfast. Sure, you could grab a bowl of cereal at the resort or head to Starbucks for a muffin, but I say let’s check out Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavilion for their Cinnamon French Toast Bread Pudding.
