Ahhh, the infamous Beverly soda. You know the one — it’s the bitter soda from Italy that’s located in Club Cool in Epcot’s Future World at Walt Disney World. The one you trick your friends into drinking as you photograph their reactions for posterity. Yeah, that Beverly.
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs is always cooking up something unique. Remember when they celebrated the movie Ant Man and the Wasp with that giant Hamburger? Well, now it is creative cocktails that are on the menu.
Jock Lindsey’s mixologists have come up with some (not-so) spooky cocktails for us to enjoy until early-November!
There’s a new drink in the World, and you have got to check it out!
The Wave…of American Flavors
But to find it, there’s only one place you can go, and that’s Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Just head to the Lounge at The Wave… of American Flavors (or Top of the World in Bay Lake Tower), and that’s where you can order up the The Seven Seas Lagoon.
Before we dive in, we’ve got to note how fun it is to see another Resort-specific cocktail on a Disney lounge menu. With the rare exception of specialty spots like AbracadaBar and Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, you can go from one Resort Bar to the next and not see much difference in the offerings. But here and there, you’ll find beverages themed to their Resort. The New Orleans-inspired cocktails at Port Orleans’ River Roost, the classic cocktails at the BoardWalk’s Belle Vue Lounge, and the specialty drinks at Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Victoria Falls come to mind. And we always think it’s a thing to celebrate when they come along.
There’s much more to say, though, about The Seven Seas Lagoon. Clearly, its name is inspired by the Contemporary’s location as one of the Resorts surrounding the Seven Seas Lagoon.
Or maaaaybe it gets its name from the fact that this drink is the size of an ACTUAL LAGOON. [Read more…]

Woohoo — it’s Friday! Who’s ready for a little Happy Hour Fun?
I have just the thing for you. Check out the latest DFB Video that we’ve posted to our new YouTube Channel, featuring a review of the mystical, magical AbracadaBar at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.
The BoardWalk has needed a few grown up spots for the longest time. Don’t get me wrong. We love enjoying a classic cocktail like The Shadow at the BoardWalk’s Belle Vue Lounge as much as you do! But hey, it’s always fun to try new things. And AbracadaBar is one seriously cool place, so be sure to tune in to our video to see all the details!
So what do you think? Will AbracadaBar be on your list of places to visit during your next Disney trip? Leave a comment and let us know!
It’s Friday, and that means one thing to me: HAPPY HOUR! 😀
But it’s also just weeks — WEEKS, PEOPLE! — from the start of the 2015 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
Beginning on September 25 and running more than 7 weeks, this year’s Festival promises to be extra special as we mark the 20th Anniversary of the event. We’re looking forward to trying some new dishes and revisiting some old favorites.
And of course, along with the eats, there will be plenty of fantastic drink options to enjoy as well. Back again this year is the Frozen Szarlotka Cocktail at the Poland Marketplace Booth. It’s a great pairing with all of the dishes at the Poland Booth, like the Kielbasa & Potato Pierogi with Caramelized Onions and Sour Cream as well as the Sauerkraut Pierogi. (Want to make the Kielbasa and Potato Pierogies at home too? Check out our recipe here.)
This is THE perfect drink for Fall in Florida. It has that wonderful flavor of Apple Cider, but it’s nice and icey, which may make you forget for a moment that it’s still 90 degrees outside. And it’s SUPER easy to put together! Take a look. [Read more…]

More Disney-Inspired Cocktails!
You knew Elsa and Anna would have to be immortalized in tipsy fashion, right?
Elsa’s cocktail, the Coldfront, is a gorgeous, milky-white and blue concoction that includes White Chocolate Liqueur, Peppermint Schnapps, Milk, and Malibu. Elsa, it would seem, packs a punch!
On the other hand, Anna has inspired the tea-based Warmfront, a Hot Toddy that includes Whiskey, Amaretto, and Orange. Sounds like the perfect antidote for chilly weather!
The Lost Boy perfectly captures the essence of Peter Pan, don’t you think? Midori, Peach Schnapps, and Malibu make for a brilliant green Martini.
But we can’t get enough of the sassy Fairy Dust! With Honey Vodka, Triple Sec, and Cider, this one would do Tink proud!
And Captain Hook gets in on the fun with the Crazed Captain. Of course, it includes a healthy dose of rum — both Spiced and 151 — with a little Midori thrown in for good measure.
The Princess and the Frog has also come to life in Cody’s imagination with a couple of different libations.
Bayou Beauty takes its inspiration from Tiana, and includes some flavors that are really trending right now — Ginger Liqueur and fresh Cucumber. White Rum provides the base.
Bad Juju, an homage to voodoo villain Doctor Facilier, is wickedly gorgeous. With a combo of Dark Rum, Passionfruit Rum, and Pineapple Juice, it will go down smooth and I bet you’ll never know what hit ya. 🙂 I love the swords through the strawberry as garnish!
Pocahontas may Paint with All the Colors of the Wind, and a velvety Martini made of [Read more…]
