Ahhh Disney’s Hollywood Studios — the chaotic and action-filled park.
Hollywood Studios is full of some of Disney World’s best attractions including Rise of the Resistance, Toy Story Land as a whole, Tower of Terror, and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, just to name a few. Since there are SO many popular things packed into one park, the wait times can be…well…painfully long.
First, though, we’ll share the good news — wait times are going down all over Disney World this week, including Hollywood Studios! Rides like Rise of the Resistance saw a pretty major drop after the 4th of July holiday. BUT we’re warning you about Slinky Dog Dash for a reason…and that reason is that it is still the highest wait time in all of Disney World.
Slinky Dog Dash’s wait time did decrease, but not as much as the other attractions in the park. If Slinky Dog Dash is a must-do for you, we recommend rope dropping (going there first thing in the morning) or buying Genie+ and making your very first Lightning Lane for the ride. We’ve seen Lightning Lanes sell out very fast in the past, so we recommend grabbing it right at 7AM when reservations open! If this is not a must-do, you may find yourself skipping the Toy Story-themed coaster.
Without further ado, let’s check out the average wait times over the past week from Disney World.
Magic Kingdom
Starting in Magic Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time of 75 minutes. Last week the average wait time was 88 minutes, so the time has decreased a LOT this week.
Next, Peter Pan’s Flight averaged 66 minutes, Space Mountain averaged 53 minutes, and Jungle Cruise averaged 45 minutes. After that, average wait times had Haunted Mansion at 36 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 33 minutes, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 32 minutes, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 30 minutes, Astro Orbiter at 28 minutes, Pirates of the Caribbean at 27 minutes, and Enchanted Tales with Belle averaged 26 minutes.
After that, “it’s a small world” averaged 20 minutes, Tomorrowland Speedway averaged 17 minutes, Mickey’s PhilharMagic and The Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini averaged 14 minutes, and Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid and Magic Carpets of Aladdin averaged 13 minutes,
Next, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover averaged 10 minutes, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel averaged 8 minutes, and Mad Tea Party averaged 7 minutes. The Enchanted Tiki Room, Carousel of Progress, the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, and the Liberty Square Riverboat all averaged 5 minutes.
The Hall of Presidents, Country Bear Jamboree, and Tom Sawyer Island averaged no wait. Reminder: TRON Lightcycle / Run does not have a posted wait time as it only uses a Virtual Queue or Individual Lightning Lane.
ALERT! A NEW Spring Roll Flavor Is Available in Magic Kingdom!
EPCOT
Heading over to EPCOT, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure had an average wait time of 56 minutes — this is a decrease from last week. Frozen Ever After’s wait time also decreased to 56 minutes meaning these two rides tied for the highest wait time.
Next up is Test Track at 55 minutes, Soarin’ at 26 minutes, Mission: SPACE at 20 minutes, Turtle Talk with Crush at 15 minutes, and Spaceship Earth at 10 minutes.
Then, there is Journey into Imagination, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, and Gran Fiesta Tour at 8 minutes, and Living with the Land at 7 minutes.
Awesome Planet, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China had no wait times this week. Reminder: Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind does not have a posted wait time as it only uses a Virtual Queue or Individual Lightning Lane.

HELLO!!!
Im a relatively new follower and have found your blog to be essential for planning our family trip to Disney in September!
I was wondering if September is a crowded month and if u think we should buy genie + for Hollywood studios and Epcot.
Thank u!!!

Those are better than the wait times we had when we end at the end of September last year! I’m jealous!

Hi Roberta! Unfortunately, every month is a crowded month lately so I would recommend taking a look at wait times about a week before you go in the MyDisneyExperience app to see if you think the waits are manageable or not.
