Since Disney World and Disneyland have postponed their reopening dates indefinitely, we’ve recently seen a lot of changes happening recently which has us thinking Disney officials are anticipating a lengthy closure.
Now that the parks will remain closed until further notice and all non-essential Cast Members will be short-term furloughed starting April 19th, Disney has just announced all college internships and cultural programs are being canceled.
With Disney World, Disneyland, and all of the international parks closed, Disney is facing an unprecedented situation. And that leaves the company with some very difficult decisions.

The current situation has had an immense impact on people across the globe. And even though Disney is a major company, they haven’t been immune to the effects. All of the Disney parks are currently closed, Disney Cruise Line sailings are halted until at least April 28th, and many other arms of the Walt Disney Company face an uncertain future. With a huge section of their business impacted, Disney has some hard decisions to make about how to move forward.
Staying in the parks after hours and experiencing exclusive entertainment? Sounds like a win-win to us!!
We’ve been LOVING all the Disneyland After Dark events, ranging from totally tubular to a ball of fun! Although we’ve already given you the details on 80s Nite, Sweethearts’ Nite, and Pixar Nite, it looks like you’ll have to wait a bit longer before you can join the villains for their wicked soirée.

Can you believe that Disneyland has already been closed for 3 weeks?? (Oh, we miss you so!!)
Right now, the parks are taking as many safety precautions as possible by extending their closures indefinitely. And, while we aren’t sure when we’ll be able to walk down Main Street or watch World of Color again, we do have all the answers to your Annual Pass questions!
It looks like we finally have confirmation from Disney that Annual Passholders at both Disney World and Disneyland will be VERY relieved to hear!
It seems in light of the recent decision to extend the temporary closures at both parks indefinitely, they’ve made some amendments to their AP refund and payment policies!
With so much uncertainty over when Disney World and Disneyland could safely reopen after closing in mid-March, both parks recently changed their temporary closure dates from the end of March 31st to “until further notice.”
And while many Cast Members have been and will be receiving pay from The Walt Disney Company through April 18th, most non-essential, non-union workers will be temporarily furloughed the following day.
We’re hanging out at home a lot which means Disney+ and our couch have seriously been our best friends. But with so much great Disney content, it’s pretty difficult to decide exactly what to watch!
