Treats with Character Coming to Disney World: Tinkerbell, Cheshire Cat, and More!

Remember the Peter Pan Float that came flying into Storybook Treats in Magic Kingdom this summer? Well, looks like Peter has started a trend, because even more snacks based on beloved characters are coming to Magic Kingdom soon! Storybook Treats will soon be home to a Tinkerbell treat!

Starting November 1st, Tink’s Pixie-Dusted Cone will feature the same key lime soft serve as in the Peter Pan Float. It will be topped with white chocolate wings, and garnished with green cotton candy… oh, and Pixie Dust, too, of course!

Then, on November 7th, The Lunching Pad will serve up a new Space Ranger Slush! This Buzz-worthy slush will be layered with purple grape and green apple slush, complete with a green rock candy straw. [Read more…]

Breaking! New Nature-Inspired Resort on Bay Lake Announced for Walt Disney World

A new resort is coming to Disney World! This deluxe Resort will be “themed to complement its natural surroundings” on the shoreline of Bay Lake, tucked between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

The Resort will house more than 900 hotel rooms as well as proposed Disney Vacation Club villas.

George A. Kalogridis, president of Walt Disney World Resort, shared: “Walt Disney World is in the midst of our most significant expansion in the last two decades and the combined 1,700 new hotel rooms and proposed Disney Vacation Club villas we are building at four different resorts will create thousands of new construction and permanent jobs and will drive economic opportunity and incremental revenue for Central Florida. We continue to add new attractions, new lands — and these beautiful accommodations will be right in the heart of all that magic.” [Read more…]

Details Released for Taping of 2018 Disney Holiday Parade Special on ABC!

ABC is getting ready to film its holiday specials at Walt Disney World

— and we’ve got information about dates and performances!

Magic Kingdom Christmas Filming in 2017

WDWMagic is reporting that, like last year, no parade will be filmed at Walt Disney World. Rather, ABC will film Disneyland’s parade for its multiple holiday specials airing in November and December.

ABC will film musical and stage performances a Walt Disney World, using cast members as audience extras. No tickets will be issued to guests, but performances may be visible from guest areas. [Read more…]

Aside from serving up some seriously sweet treats like Frosting Shots and Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches, Sprinkles Cupcakes is the go-to spot for, well, cupcakes in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World and at Downtown Disney at Disneyland.

COMPARISON: How Much Did Disney World Ticket Prices Increase Today?

Today is the day that a change has come to Disney World ticket prices. Guests wishing to purchase Disney World tickets are able to access the new system via DisneyWorld.com or the My Disney Experience app to see the new date-based ticket pricing. (Click here to see Annual Pass price increases that went into effect today.)

We’ve compared dates at the old pricing model and the new pricing model below so that you can see how the new ticket pricing system will affect YOUR trip.

The new system:

• Assigns each individual calendar day a specific ticket price (each day reflects a different price based on various factors like crowd levels)
• Uses an interactive calendar for ticket purchasing, and to show guests the highest and lowest ticket prices within a given month or year
• Offers guests the option to upgrade to a ticket with a “flexible start date” for an added cost. [Read more…]
