We’re bringing ya even more D23 Expo announcements!
We’ve already discussed park expansions, stores, new movies, and trailers. But now we’re talking about a reimagining of an entire area in Disney California Adventure!
We’re bringing you all of the Disney news live from the 2022 D23 Expo this weekend!
This weekend has been filled with exciting details and fun nods to Disney World’s past. And, in case you haven’t noticed, Disneyland Resort is getting A LOT of attention. Now, we’re looking to the updates promised to Disney California Adventure — Avenger Campus is getting a new attraction!
Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park is about to get more…GREEN!
During the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, Disney shared a look at some amazing technology they’ve been working on, new movies, and much more. And during the panel all about the future of the Disney parks, we got to see something (or should we say, someONE) HUGE that’ll be in one of the parks soon!
UPDATE: Happily Ever After will return with new projections down Main Street, U.S.A on April 3, 2023.
Okay, nobody panic, but…ummm…yeah…we’re 🚨 FREAKING OUT over Disney’s HUGE fireworks news! 🚨
Magic Kingdom has had its fair share of fireworks shows over the years with some like Wishes and Happily Ever After becoming true fan favorites. Most recently, Happily Ever After was replaced by Disney Enchantment for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, and a special 50th Anniversary-themed tag was added to the beginning of the show. But now Disney has dropped some HUGE fireworks news.
Well, it’s been a WEEK!
So much is going on right now. We had the first Oogie Boogie Bash in Disneyland, we celebrated Disney+ Day in the parks, and we’re getting ready for a TON of announcements from the D23 Expo this weekend! But we’re still thinking about FOOD, which means we’re keeping an eye on Disney World restaurants to see if anything has changed.
In an ironic turn of events, we have some pretty scary news about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a popular, after-hours, hard-ticketed event at Magic Kingdom in Disney World. There’s a special fireworks show, the fan-favorite Boo-to-You parade (featuring the iconic Headless Horseman), a variety of exclusive treats, and more. If you were hoping to attend the party this year, unfortunately, we have some pretty heartbreaking news. [Read more…]
If there’s one thing you absolutely should NOT be surprised by when it comes to the Disney parks, it’s…change.
Price increases have hit Disney’s theme parks many times over the past several years, and Disney has typically been able to even outpace inflation when it comes to ticket prices. More recently, we’ve seen Disney’s CEO Bob Chapek comment on future price increases in the parks, and now we’ve got even more from the leader of the Disney Company on how things could change in the future.
D23 Expo has come and gone.
There were tons of panels and presentations to experience at this event, lots of shopping to do, and you may even run into some Disney celebrities before or after their events! Disney also announced tons of new films, series, and release dates at this event, so in case you missed any, here’s a FULL LIST of all the film/series release dates or timelines announced there and afterwards!
One of the most popular souvenirs in Disney World is the resort-specific Starbucks cups, which come in a variety of designs.
We’ve seen those cups sell out FAST, both in Disney World and online, and they’re not always easy to get your hands on, especially if they’re the 50th anniversary designs. One of those cups, which has Mickey on it, though, has FINALLY arrived in Disney World.
Disney+ has seen some BIG success when it comes to subscriber numbers, but the service is still requiring a lot of investment and is LOSING money.
Though some have become a bit weary of the streaming world in general, especially after Netflix experienced streaming struggles, Disney has continued to announce shows for the platform and send what could be BIG films directly to the streaming service (skipping traditional theatrical releases in some cases). So what’s going on with Disney+ and what is Disney’s plan moving forward? An interview with Bob Chapek has given us some insight.
