It’s a summer miracle! Disney just announced that BOTH water parks will be available this summer.
Double the chances to cool off, enjoy the water rides, and relax by the water. This summer, you will have choices regarding which Disney World water park you want to visit.
Well, it’s been another week in Disney World, just basically eating our way around, well, EVERYTHING.
This week saw more Easter snacks popping up (so of course, we’re trying them) PLUS the Easter Egg displays are now up at the hotels (and you should TOTALLY check them out if you’re around). Disney World restaurant menus have changed this week, too, so let’s check out those updates.
A LOT is changing in Disney World in 2025. Now, we’re not even talking about the construction that’s started in Animal Kingdom or the construction that will start soon in Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.
No, we’re talking about some big policy changes. One of the BIGGEST changes, though, is a new perk Disney just started offering to visitors staying at Disney World hotels. This perk gets you one free day at Disney World’s water parks on your arrival day. However, this new perk has started to create some BIG complications at those parks.
Spring has sprung which means it’s a fantastic time to visit Disney World! Okay, let’s face it — any time is a great time for a trip.
We know how overwhelming the planning process can be, which is why we do what we do — create guides that cover everything you need to know and keep you informed on the latest Disney news. And guess what? That’s what we’re here to do now!. So if you have a trip on the horizon, here are the biggest changes impacting Disney World in April!
Over the past few years, Disney World started a trend where only one of its water parks is open at a time.
There are two water parks located on Disney World property — Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Both are home to tons of fun water attractions and pools, but there’s usually not enough water park traffic to support both being open at the same time, so they switch off each year. In fact, we have some news about BOTH parks! Blizzard Beach is getting ready to celebrate a big anniversary in April, and now we know when Typhoon Lagoon will be opening!
Which Disney World water park is the BEST of the two? Is there such a thing as GOOD water park food? And what should you absolutely NEVER forget before you hit up Blizzard Beach OR Typhoon Lagoon?

Hello from Disney World!
Okay, so it is like a HUGE week for food in Disney World because the EPCOT Festival of the Arts has officially kicked off. We were there on DAY ONE to check out everything the festival has to offer, including all the food booths (we ate so much, y’all have no idea). But there’s more happening in the Disney World food world, too, because we’ve also got some restaurant menu changes to get you updated on.
At the start of 2025, Disney rolled out a new perk for guests staying at Disney World hotels: FREE water park tickets on check-in day! According to Disney, these tickets are non-transferrable and cannot be used on a different day, even if the water park is closed due to weather or other factors. However, one of our readers recently had a different experience.
A DFB reader named Ken recently reached out to us with an interesting experience they had regarding this water park perk.
The holiday crowds may have largely left Disney World, but now runDisney crowds have begun to sneak their way for the first event of the year.
That’s not all though — cold weather has also snuck its way into Orlando and while yes, it is winter, temperatures are DROPPING! This week in Disney World will be a cold one, so replace your bathing suit with your long layers and jacket because Blizzard Beach will be CLOSED!
