It might be less than a week since Disney World closed, but we’re missing the parks already.
Disney’s Saratoga Springs
While Disney Springs has already closed along with the parks, the Disney Resorts will be shutting their doors TODAY at 5 PM. So, you might want to get ready for the day and head over to Saratoga Springs ASAP for this new treat!!

With Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Springs, and Downtown Disney closing to protect Cast, Crew, and guests, from the Coronavirus, we’re REALLY hitting that post-Disney withdrawal.

When Disney World announced they were closing due to Coronavirus concerns, we were interested to see how the company would navigate such an unprecedented move.
Epcot
Unscheduled closures of Disney World are rare. In fact, the current instance marks only the ninth large-scale closure in the nearly 50-year history of the park. And, since it is Florida, you won’t be surprised to hear that most of these were weather-related! Let’s take a look back at how Disney World has handled different types of closures in the past.

As part of the efforts to mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus, new policies are being put in to effect immediately in Orlando and throughout the state of Florida with the goal of reducing the number of people gathering in bars and restaurants.

Currently, the four Walt Disney World theme parks (and both water parks) are temporarily closed as part of the efforts to promote safety due to concerns over the Coronavirus. However, following closure of the parks, select areas of the Resort remained in service of guests during a transitional phase.

As the Resort went through its closing phases, we continually updated this post daily as various parts of the Resort begin their temporary closures, and we are keeping it current at this time. Here is an at-a-glance list of the status of Disney World operations.
You may already be aware that all Disney owned and operated locations in Disney Springs will begin their temporary closure as part of precautions due to the Coronavirus effective tomorrow, March 17, 2020. Disney shared in the announcement that individual tenants will make decisions on whether to continue or adjust operations.

We are busy compiling a list so guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel before their closure on Friday, March 20 can soon know the status of the individual shops and restaurants. Guests who will be at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel over the next few days before the hotels are closed on March 20, 2020 at 5:00 PM due to concerns over the Coronavirus will want to be advised of some additional changes which will also take place this week.
Walt Disney World Bus Transportation
According to the Walt Disney World website, “All Disney transportation will be suspended beginning the morning of Wednesday, March 18, 2020 through the end of the month.” (Please note that Disney’s Magical Express will continue to transport guests to and from the airport through March 20.)
