Last year, the entire Disney World theme park experience was shooketh when the resort converted its Genie+ service into NEW Lightning Lane offerings. The dust has now settled and we’ve gotten comfortable with the new offerings, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the comfortability is widespread. If you’re still wondering how Lightning Lanes work, how they don’t work, and if they’re worth it, allow us to share a little insight.
Disney filed a permit for work to be done at the Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which currently houses It’s Tough to Be a Bug.

The permit was filed on February 3rd, 2025, and is for work to be done by a contractor called Westbrook Service Corporation.

Disney’s Riviera Resort
You can use Disney’s free transportation system. You can get extra time in the parks with Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours. You can also get a free water park ticket this year and sometimes, you can even snag free dining! There are also several ways to upgrade your vacation through your Disney hotel, but some Disney fans just do not think it’s always worth the price to upgrade!
EPCOT is home to many festivals throughout the year.
EPCOT during the Flower and Garden Festival
Currently, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is going on from now until February 24th. Shortly after this festival wraps up, the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival will return from March 5th until June 2nd. There is so much to see and do at EPCOT’s festivals, but one of our favorite things is to try all the good eats at the different food booths.
Cast Members who work in the food booths are working hard to get you through the line as quickly as possible, and sometimes they wish they could say these nine things, but they can’t because they are too nice.
A $25 million vacation village is opening up near Disney World!

Princess Village is the name of the new property where you will be able to find short-term rental townhomes which will be great for larger families looking to stay off property. The rental resort is aiming to help create jobs and boost tourism in Orlando and we have the first look here!
A recent menu change has struck one of our favorite dishes at a fan-favorite Disney World restaurant and you know we had to scope it out.

There’s a short list of Disney World restaurants that just don’t seem to let us down, no matter how much Disney plays with their menus. Sometimes, these changes are for the better, and sometimes they still can’t quite measure up to some of the surrounding restaurants, but very rarely do we find a change that doesn’t feel much like a change. When we heard that one of our beloved dishes at California Grill had changed, we knew we had to investigate — stat!

The Disney Parks are constantly changing, and it can be tough to keep up.

Last year, Disney unloaded SO MUCH info about the future of its theme park experiences at D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. We learned about land expansions, whole new themed lands, new rides, and so much more coming to the theme parks worldwide. Really, we now know that the parks are going to be incredibly busy with TONS of projects over the coming years. With that said, 2025 is seeing plenty of construction start, but only a handful of new attractions are opening this year.
As the winter of 2025 turns into spring and then summer, many are planning trips to Walt Disney World, and looking to take advantage of some of the limited-time discount offers currently available from the “Most Magical Place on Earth.”
Cinderella Castle
Two of the biggest current offers at the resort are the Save, Stay & Play offer, which is valid for arrivals most nights from February 26th to June 30th, and the Free Dining Plan offer, which is valid from May 27th to June 26th and again from July 7th to August 6th. The former offers savings of up to $200 a night (depending on resort level) when booking a “3-night, 2-day Walt Disney Travel Company room-and-ticket package at select Disney Resort hotels” while the latter offers a free Disney Dining Plan (the type of which depends on the level of hotel booked) to those who book a “non-discounted 3-night, 3-day Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a room at a select Disney Resorts Collection hotel and a theme park ticket with a Park Hopper option.” So, which of these offers is better? Well, that depends…
