Disney World is no stranger to introducing over-the-top treats that have price tags to match. And while some of the fancy and $$$$$$ eats are totally NOT worth the cost, there are a few that for sure ARE!

While it previously appeared that Beaches and Cream would close for a refurbishment beginning August 6, it now looks like the Beach Club Resort’s popular restaurant will close on August 26 instead.
Ahoy! The new kids-only Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew is now open at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and is setting sail nightly with new pirate recruits!
This swashbuckling new option is for kids ages 4-12 who get to cruise around Crescent Lake on a quest for a hidden treasure!
Before hitting the high seas the young Buccaneers will get official pirate names, solve puzzles, and gather their clues on land!

The Disney World Yacht and Beach Club Resorts’ shared pool, Stormalong Bay, is seeing some changes in both the menu at Hurricane Hanna’s and lots of construction on new Cabanas being added to the area.
The familiar shape of a cabanas can been seen popping up all around the pool.

Stormalong Bay stalwart Hurricane Hanna’s has had a recent menu update and we couldn’t wait to share it with you!
Disney World has started testing Smart Speakers in select guest rooms at the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. Currently, guests with a Smart Speaker in their guest room will be able to get information including park hours, bus arrival times, the weather, and more from the speakers.
The Smart Speakers are voice activated, and not linked to any personal accounts, including My Disney Experience accounts. No registration or set up is required if you are in a room with a Smart Speaker.
There are many advantages to staying at the Beach Club Resort in Disney World — one being super easy walking access to Epcot for all the Festivals! But now we’ve found another advantage — a new Premium Coffee Bar!
The new Premium Coffee Bar is located in the Beach Club’s Solarium, which is just off the lobby, outside the Marketplace shop and quick service/grab and go dining location in the resort. In the past, this location has served tea, been a craft space, and more. Now? It’s coffee time.
