Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at EPCOT Resorts!
And, we’ve got plenty of food and crowd updates from New Year’s Day to share with you. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!
Hello, from Disney’s Yacht Club Resort!
We decided to try breakfast at the table-service location Ale & Compass on our recent trip to Disney World. This restaurant is known for coastal, New-England style cuisine. We haven’t been blown away by this location in the past so we wanted to see how breakfast was holding up.
We’ve been enjoying all kinds of holiday treats and sweets around Walt Disney World’s theme parks and resorts!

Whether you love gingerbread or hidden Mickeys, it seems there’s something for everyone. And now we’ve found the PERFECT holiday snack for Oreo fans.

Disney World has been slowly but surely announcing hotel reopening dates.
Though most of the Disney World villas and hotels have reopened, there are some we’re still waiting on. In fact, there are some that are still closed until further notice! It’s time for a status update!
Please Note: This post has been updated to reflect additional reopening dates as announced by Disney.
A number of things have changed at Disney World since the park closures earlier this year.
One thing that’s been rather different has been transportation. Disney buses have a new loading and seating procedure, there are dividers and other safety measures in place in the Monorails, and the EPCOT monorail is not available. The Friendship Boats that take guests at certain resorts to and from EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are also not available at the moment…but they will be soon!
We’re really starting to see the holidays popping up all over Disney World!
So far, we’ve found some amazing holiday Minnie ears, clothing, ornaments, and toys! And we are READY for the season of joy!
Disney recently introduced Mobile Order To Go, a new way of enjoying food from some of your favorite table service restaurants at the Disney World Resort hotels! That’s right, you can now order table service food TO GO!
In its initial rollout, we’ve been able to order food from Sanaa, The Wave, Kona Cafe, and Olivia’s Cafe! Now, Disney World is poised to add two MORE resort table service restaurants to this My Disney Experience feature!
Ahh, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort — a cozy spot with the added benefit of being walkable to EPCOT AND Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
When the resort reopened last month, we noticed a few furniture updates around the resort’s lobby. And now, the Yacht Club Lobby has seen some more pretty significant changes. Let’s see!
Disney World Cast Members don’t wear mere uniforms at work. Instead, they wear costumes, all dependent on where they work in the resort.
Those costumes often change, sometimes to go with a specific event, and sometimes to match a certain new aesthetic that Disney World has in mind. And we just spotted a drastic change in the costumes for Cast Members at one Disney World restaurant.
