We haven’t seen an official fireworks show in Walt Disney World in over a YEAR!Â
Fireworks Testing
There were a few flares around the holidays, as well as some random fireworks testing, but not a full show! Recently we learned that fireworks will be returning to Walt Disney World on July 1st, and now we have official times for the shows! Take a look.
Except for a few flares and fireworks around the holidays, and some sporadic fireworks testing, we haven’t really seen a full fireworks show inside of a Disney World theme park for over a YEAR.
Oh, How We Miss This
But, that is ALL ABOUT TO CHANGE! Fireworks will be returning to Disney World soon and we are EXPLODING (see what we did there?) with excitement!
We’re not sure what we miss the most from the pre-closure days of Disney World, but fireworks are definitely up there on our list.
Magic Kingdom Fireworks
Disney World reopened in early July of 2020 with a lot of changes to help keep guests and Cast Members safe. One of the most high-profile changes was the suspension of nightly fireworks and nighttime spectaculars — and they remain suspended even now. While it was sad to lose the beloved IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth in 2019, Disney assured us a new nighttime spectacular was in the works for 2020!

And although we’ve enjoyed the temporary show Epcot Forever, we’re ready for the “largest nighttime spectacular ever created for a Disney Park” to begin — HarmonioUS! Luckily for all of us, it looks like we won’t have to wait very much longer! That’s because Disney’s just announced when HarmonioUS is slated to start!

We’re nearing the end of 2019, everybody (and it has been one magical year!). Although it might be time to say goodbye to this year, you can make some new magical memories in 2020, starting in Disney World during New Year’s!
