Walt Disney World resort hotels are getting ready to reopen soon, like, really really soon.
And as guests get ready to head back to Walt Disney World, things are getting back to normal on My Disney Experience.
As many of us are already keenly aware, our summer Disney World vacations are going to look and feel very different this year. There’s going to be a lot fewer people in parks, tons of new health and safety measures, and no parades, fireworks or character meet and greets to start.
But with so many modifications being made to Disney World’s guest experiences, you might be asking yourself what’s going to happen with MagicBands? Will we still be using them? Can we still pre-order them? We’re just like you guys — we can’t picture a trip to Disney World that doesn’t include MagicBands since we’re so used to swiping them to enter the theme parks, our guest rooms, and even pay for stuff! Plus — that’s only a couple of ways we use ’em! The list goes on and on!
Planning a Walt Disney World vacation can be both an extremely exciting AND daunting task.

Hello there Mickey and Minnie!
But with the proper planning and research, you can make the most out of your time and hard-earned money spent on a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation. Even still, you might not find everything you need to know about having the most EPIC time at Disney just by reading the guidebooks! Luckily, you’ve got us by your side!
WOW! We’ve just shared a ton of info about all the updates form Disney World about their reopening procedures.
We told you about updates to dining, new procedures for hotels, how to even get IN a Disney hotel, transportation modifications, and more. Now, we’re sharing info about a new feature for resort guests that will be rolled out on June 22nd.
We’ve been actively following the developments with Disney World’s Reopening, which begins July 11th.
One major issue that guests ran into early on was the inability to book new Advance Dining Reservations through Disney. It seems that might have changed!
We just shared the news that Disney will temporarily suspend FastPass+ and has canceled all FastPass+ reservations.
This announcement was made out of the need for “additional queue space to manage capacity at our attractions and maintain physical distancing,” per Disney’s announcement. This is all in preparation for Disney’s proposed reopening, set to take place mid-July.
There has been a TON of news coming out of Disney World today!
After a lengthy closure beginning back on March 16th, Disney World announced that they hope to reopen Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom on July 11th, followed by EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 15th. Whenever the parks are cleared to reopen, guests can expect to experience several changes including new health and safety guidelines, required reservations for park entrance, and contactless menus in restaurants.
Disney World is the Most Magical Place on Earth! But, did you know that it can be one of the Scariest Places on Earth, too?? (Dun dun DUN!)
Although Disney creates SO much magic for guests of all ages, there are a few things in the parks that might creep you out when you’re visiting.
Here at Disney Food Blog, we’re ALWAYS snacking on cookies, cupcakes, and more to tell you which of the Disney World treats you don’t want to miss, but we’re also constantly on the lookout for new crumbs of wisdom for how to have the best overall experience possible on our Disney World vacations (see what we did there?)!
Our Disney World habits have helped us pick up quite a few tricks over the years which have, until now, stayed pretty much under-the-radar — meaning you’re not likely to find them in any guidebooks or Facebook groups!
Here’s a heads-up! Be sure to check your Disneyland or My Disney Experience app for a little extra magic from the Disney PhotoPass Service!
MORE complimentary desktop and mobile wallpapers have been added to your photo gallery, which you can access by selecting the Disney PhotoPass section designated on the home screen. (You can access these by way of your account on the Walt Disney World and Disneyland websites, too.) [Read more…]
